Stories – oral, written, or performed as plays, are the passion and vocation of Gail Nyoka. Her storytelling and written works span the globe: Britain, Canada, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Egypt; and they encompass historical and the emerging present times.

Gail writes for young people and adults. Her previous work has been short-listed for international awards, and Mella Mella, her play for young audiences was the winner of the Chalmers Canadian Play Award.

Gail was born in Trinidad, grew up in London, and has lived in Wales, Canada and the US.
