Marene is a retired teacher who managed to spend several happy years after retirement working as a tutor on cattle stations in the Northern Territory.
It is from this love of the outback that the scenes and ideas for this story evolved. To the best of her knowledge this is a fictional story as she has no first-hand experience with drug growing or distribution in the NT or anywhere else.
She is widowed with 4 adult children, numerous grand-children and a very special dog. She currently lives in South Australia.
