Marene is a retired teacher who managed to spend several happy years after retirement working as a tutor on cattle stations in the Northern Territory.</p>
<p>
It is from this love of the outback that the scenes and ideas for this story evolved. To the best of her knowledge this is a fictional story as she has no first-hand experience with drug growing or distribution in the NT or anywhere else.</p>
<p>
She is widowed with 4 adult children, numerous grand-children and a very special dog. She currently lives in South Australia.</p>
