Chet Novicki was born in Laconia, New Hampshire, and has lived in California, North Carolina, South Korea, Japan, Hawaii, and Florida. Along the way he has held a variety of jobs, ranging from Chinese Mandarin linguist for the U.S. government, to truck driver, to being the lead singer and songwriter for the alternative country group, The Fudgecats (www.fudgecats.com). He is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Among his hobbies he lists skydiving, hang gliding, volcano jumping, alligator wrestling, cannonball catching, free diving, and telling tall tales - mostly the latter.
