<p>Chet Novicki was born in Laconia, New Hampshire, and has lived in California, North Carolina, South Korea, Japan, Hawaii, and Florida. Along the way he has held a variety of jobs, ranging from Chinese Mandarin linguist for the U.S. government, to truck driver, to being the lead singer and songwriter for the alternative country group, <em>The Fudgecats (www.fudgecats.com). </em>He is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Among his hobbies he lists skydiving, hang gliding, volcano jumping, alligator wrestling, cannonball catching, free diving, and telling tall tales - mostly the latter.</p>
