David E. Gumpert is a writer who grew up on the South Side of Chicago. He co-authored with his aunt a book about his family's attempts to escape the Holocaust, Inge: A Girl's Journey Through Nazi Europe. He has authored other books on how to start and run a small business and on food politics. Prominent titles include How to Really Create a Successful Business Plan (from Inc. Publishing); The Raw Milk Revolution (Chelsea Green Publishing); and The Raw Milk Answer Book (Lauson Publishing). He has also been a reporter with The Wall Street Journal and an editor of The Harvard Business Review. He lives in Waltham, MA, with his wife, Jean.
