ERIKA MURCIA is an elder, sibling, auntie, poet, writer, traveler, acompañante, and weaver of creative crossroads across the borderlands. Murcia was raised in the mountains of Chalatenango, El Salvador. Murcia's poetry and prose have been featured in MATRILINAJES Poesía en los altares de la diosa (Carpa Lunar, México 2024), Maternidad Creativa: Recuperar el latido original del útero (Carpa Lunar, México 2021), Love & Other Futures: Poetry of Untold Stories of Liberation & Love (Amazon, Michigan 2019). Murcia is a co-creator of Sanadora Práctica Creativa, an indigenous acompañamiento & poetic improvisational praxis. Murcia is based in náhuatl-pipil, Mesoamerican lands, and moves wherever Earth Mother and the Cosmos calls to sing with the energy of each day.
