About the author

Jamie Tremain

DID YOU KNOW?

Jamie Tremain is not one person, but two! Pam Blance and Liz Lindsay are Jamie Tremain.
In the summer of 2007 Pam and Liz began their writing journey as Jamie Tremain when it was discovered they shared a love of reading – and writing!
We have always been grateful for support from the writing community on our journey to become published authors and never hesitate to offer support to others in return.
Jamie Tremain belongs to Crime Writers of Canada, International Thriller Writers, and are proud to be part of the Genre5 Writers group in Guelph, Ontario.
Currently Jamie Tremain has two series. The Dorothy Dennehy Mystery Series – 3 books published, with a 4th underway. And our Grant’s Crossing Series has 3, with more planned. Another project we have been working on with fellow author Gloria Ferris is a crime/caper adventure called Worlds May Change.  This is the first book in a new series - The Mechanic Falls Gem Caper Series.

Jamie Tremain’s logo is “Blending crime, mystery, and relationships to create a memorable story.” We hope you’ll agree.

Pam Blance:
Reading and writing is a passion for Pam. And in that order. She believes it’s a necessity to do a whole lot of reading to be able to write well.  Growing up in Scotland, with a father who hammered away at an old manual typewriter producing poems and articles, she then picked up the bug.  After immigrating to Canada in the sixties, Pam worked in many different industries. Raising three children and having a full time job only left her time to scribble, mainly for herself.

Liz Lindsay

Books, and writing them, have always been at the forefront in Liz’s life. Nancy Drew, Cherry Ames, and the Hardy Boys were her companions, along with Trixie Belden (remember her?).  Followed by Agatha Christie, and those great magazines – Ellery Queen and Alfred Hitchcock. Then came book clubs and the reading of books outside of her comfort zone. And always, just there, was the urge to write.
But life, as it does, puts some plans on hold. Marriage, children, and a succession of administrative positions filled the passing years. Who had time to write?
Then, Liz met Pam and discovered a kindred spirit. A voracious reader, AND someone who wanted to write.  Coffee breaks and lunch hours soon became dedicated writing time as ideas and ‘what if’s’ sprang to life. As well as the birth of a joint pseudonym – Jamie Tremain.
Long story short, it took about a decade for those first tentative writing steps to become reality with the publication of Jamie Tremain’s first book, The Silk Shroud. And that writing spark, which flamed into reality, continues to burn as Jamie Tremain creates  more stories. Six published to date with more to come!
