John Michael McCarty is a fourth-generation San Franciscan and retired educator. He was a history instructor at Earl Shilton Community College in England and at St. Mary's College in Moraga, California. A member in good standing with the San Francisco Historical Society and the Fulbright Association, John has written two previous novels. Memories That Linger and In the Rough are zany tales of the famous and not-so-famous who reside along the banks of the Russian River in northern California.
