<p>John Michael McCarty is a fourth-generation San Franciscan and retired educator. He was a history instructor at Earl Shilton Community College in England and at St. Mary's College in Moraga, California. A member in good standing with the San Francisco Historical Society and the Fulbright Association, John has written two previous novels. <em>Memories That Linger </em>and <em>In the Rough </em>are zany tales of the famous and not-so-famous who reside along the banks of the Russian River in northern California.</p>
