Where Liberty Dwells: A Brother's Best Friend Military Romance (Heart of A Wounded Hero) Kindle Edition

4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 201 ratings

After an accident forced Nico Andino, ex-Army Ranger, into retirement he devoted his civilian life to fixing things. First his broken back and then homes. When a call brings him to Liberty’s doorstep, it’s clear her heritage house isn’t the one in need of renovation. And he’s determined to fix the curvaceous younger woman who’s occupied his heart for years.

After her divorce, Liberty Franklin wanted to redefine herself and build the future she’d always dreamed of. A future involving her older brother’s estranged best friend, Nico, a handsome enigma of a man who would have been the perfect choice if only he weren’t off limits. But healing herself isn’t her only concern. The more time she spends with Nico, the more obvious it becomes…

She’s not the only one that’s broken.

Can Nico and Liberty both find the healing they need with each other? Or will the past force them apart once again?

Publisher's Note: The Heart of the Wounded Hero series was created to pay tribute to and raise awareness of wounded heroes. Each of the over eighty authors involved have contributed time, donations, and stories to the cause. These love stories are inspiring and uplifting, showing the sacrifice of veterans but also giving them the happily ever after they deserve. By increasing awareness through our books, we believe we can, in a small way, help the wounded heroes that have sacrificed so much.

This book is a part of the multi-author series called Heart of a Wounded Hero. It's a fast-paced and standalone book that will keep you engaged from start to finish.
This is a story about a H who is an ex Army ranger and starts his own construction business when he is called to do some work on the h home. They knew each other years ago and reconnect.
Read to find out what happens. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and this review is my own opinion.

Good read. Nico had a crush on his best friend’s little sister Liberty. Liberty was going back to a relationship that Nico and her brother Chase knew was not good but they let her make her own decision. Fast forward and they are back into each other’s lives. Nico with a military injury and Liberty with a heart that is healing. This was a good read.

This one really grabbed me from the beginning because of the conversation between Liberty and Nico. You could feel the attraction between the two of them. I never understand how a sibling could forbid a friend from dating their sibling. Like mind your business and live your life. Anyway, I love the build up of them coming together. I can't wait to read Liberty's brother story.

Nico and Liberty’s love story is so different. It is cute the way they stay loving each other even when they lose touch.
