When our heroine finds that her garden has been neglected, she knows she will have to tend to it herself. But perhaps our hero would be willing to lend a hand as well. This book is part of a series, but it works just fine as a standalone. This is a fantasy romance story set in the time of Egyptian gods. The story is well written and easy to read, with a straightforward plot that still manages to have some unexpected twists to it. The characters are well developed and I always like meeting the

Vineyard, harvest and fertility goddess Geshtinanna has been switching seasons with her brother Dumuzi, god of shepherds and fertility. Almost like Persephone in splitting her time on Earth and in the Afterlife, Tinanna has been sweet on a certain afterlife god, Aken, keeper of the boat. In a sweet romance these two realized they wanted more than friendship and bonding through Tinanna’s hardship is the call her Knight in Shining armor will answer. A feel good story about chance & opportunity.

The grapes growing in her vineyard on Earth have not yet finished ripening when the Goddess Geshtinanna has to journey to Duat. Upon arriving, she is delighted to see that the God Aken is waiting for her at the lakeshore. Geshtinanna and Aken finally overcome their hesitation and give in to their feelings for each other. This quick read is full of romance, ending in a possible HEA. Very highly recommended. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
