Valkyrie 101 is an interesting and original storyline. This author has created an amazing world filled with intriguing characters and a story that pulled me in and had me on the edge of my seat. Ylva wants to become a Valkyrie and she gets her chance once she's enrolled at the Afterlife Academy. This paranormal story is filled with drama, mystery, action, rivalries, suspense, new friendships and so much more. I can't wait to read the next book to find out what happens next.

Alright, to begin, I really liked the originality of the work and more than that really appreciated the authenticity of the work. While I do have to complain a bit on the pacing and chugged out details, I do honestly believe in the story and its refinedness. I especially enjoyed how /real/ the characters seemed and loved seeing their human emotional reactions to events and other people. Emphasis on Ryoko and Ylva on this point. Moreover, I liked how the writer wrote the characters' habits and interactions with such human quality. Something I complain to myself often in terms of other authors. All around, great story, a bit lengthy at parts but well written in its entirety DISCLAMIER: I wasn’t paid for this, and I got the book for free because of a special. However, this is NOT a sponsored or monitored post

This is a great academy book. It’s really well written and I love Ylva. I loved the storyline. If you love academy books then I highly recommend reading. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
