I was lucky enough to read this book uninterpreted and it made my heart soar!
4.5 starsLesli Richardson is the writer behind the curtain of her better-known pen name, Tymber Dalton. As many of you know I adore Tymber's work hence why I was so eager to read Poly! The blurb let's the reader know this is so much more than boy meets girl and they live happily ever after, this is a read that expands happy beyond two partners.Arlo and Zoey are married and raising her son from a prior marriage Lucas. I am going to diverge for a second and say the use of Lucas throughout the story was masterful and will put at the readers heartstrings many times throughout the book.Ok back to the LOVE..... Arlo and Nolan have been friends since high school and well they love each other.. well the three of them Arlo, Zoey and Nolan love each other. This book is about the how they make that work as their relationship comes out in the open. This author knows how to write relationships and I think that is so key for a book like this because for most who read it the dynamic is beyond anything they can image for themselves. The author will have you believing Arlo, Zoey and Nolan belong together!Side note and I do not want to spoil anything I love the relevance of the story line with Nolan's daughter, Katie!I was lucky enough to read this book uninterpreted and it made my heart soar!

    Loved Zoey, Arlo and Nolan
Arlo and Nolan have been best friends and loves off and on since high school. The times and Nolan's family prevented them from having the relationship they wanted. So the dated other people, coming together between relationships. Nothing got in the way of their friendship.
Arlo met Zoey and her young son Lucas, 13 years ago, fell in love, and married her a year later. He became a father to Lucas and Nolan an uncle. She has always know about Nolan, both the strong friendship and the sometimes lovers. She fell for Nolan as well.
Nolan has always loved his best friend Arlo. His family has kept him in the closet, even though he has limited contact, he held back. Then there was the fact that he wanted to be a dad. Then his X Jerilyn got her hooks into him. Their relationship was toxic but Nolan had a need to take care of her. She did give him his 6 year old daughter Katie.
A brief time between break ups with Jerilyn and before Katie, Arlo and Zoey showed him what they could be together. Zoey couldn't give him a child of his own and he was to afraid to take what they all wanted. When things fell apart with Jerilyn for the last time. Arlo and Zoey were there for him and Katie.
For the last 4 years Arlo, Nolan and Zoey have had a secret relationship. Stealing time when ever they have been able. Arlo and Nolan have made some plans for a home for all of them under one roof. No longer having to hide their relationship, except for when they had Katie.
There plans are thrown off when Zoey's X, dumps Lucas, their 16 year old son and his stuff on the front lawn, after catching him with his boyfriend.
Jerilyn tries to take Katie to California and threatens Nolan, Arlo and even Lucas and his boyfriend to get her way.
A great story of friendship, love and family. Fast paced and a little steamy. FM MM MMF romance. Loved Arlo, Nolan and Zoey. Lucas and Caine are a cute couple , with loving support. Arlo and Nolan act as good roll models for them.

It was refreshing to read a story about a triad that had existed many years and that now faced some struggles of real life with their kids. I was rooting for them all from the beginning to the end but the book seemed to be a bit rushed as if a backstory was missing. Also a glimpse into their future would have been nice.

I'm not sure this book was what I was expecting but I can say it's a good book, well written, strong characters, believable plot, cute kids and just a bit of an edge in places. Best of all: HEA! Nolan, Zoe, Katie, and Lucas were great characters. Arlo came across as someone hard to get to know and I had less mental attachment to him than the others. But a good read. I highly recommend it! If you love Tymber Dalton's "Suncoast Society" series, you'll love this book.

Very interesting premise could have been given more in-depth treatment. Zoey seemed more like an observer to the relationship between Arlo and Nolan than an equal partner. The kids' unquestioningly accepting their parents' relationship was a little odd.

I really liked this book! Zoey, Arlo and Nolan are realistic characters with realistic lives. But through it all, the relationship(s) they have with one another is steadfast and solid. It takes work to achieve that in a polycule, but it absolutely is possible. Wonderful read!

This glimpse into the day to day life of a poly relationship and all the pieces that go with it really made me think. So many possibilities of backlash, but the end result was worth it.

A well written story of the love and hardship that comes with loving more than 1 person. Leslie does a great job in this book, and many of her other recent series, taking you through the lives of 3 people who love each other even when the world may never understand or fully accept the love they share. Always transfixed by her stories and characters and Poly was no different.

This was a very interesting glimpse into a polyamourous relationship. Add in some outstandingly horrible exes and the conflict they cause and this book is a winner!

5.0 out of 5 stars A really romantic character driven story
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 4, 2019
A true love story. That shows the emotional bond between the main characters. that love in all its many forms can be truly healing. A romance rather than erotic romance the heat level is less than some of the authors previous novels. The focus is on the long standing bond they have between them and how their love helps heal not only themselves but makes them into a family. This author writes characters you genuinely start to care for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect escapism without overwhelming tension
Reviewed in Australia on July 2, 2019
Beautifully written with a well maintained continuity even swapping between points of view. Dealt well with the realities of a dedicated poly relationship. Oh and I loved the line about expert adulting levels! Another masterpiece Lesli, keep them coming. Any fans of her recent political thrillers note that this is a sweeter gentler read with just enough ex tension/drama to keep the story moving well.

Really love this story. Not too steamy like most MMF books but an awesome story with great characters. Would definitely recommend it
