About this ebook
This revised edition (2016) of this book is not just about poetry it is really a collection of short stories stitched together in a poetic format. The poet takes you on a journey where old wives tales and so called witchcraft are the main actors.
Compiled and narrated in an original form that will bring hairs to the back of the neck or just reaching for the dictionary.
Another original example of class from this upcoming indie poet.

Just Pushing My Luck 2016 - Darren Hobson
A Very Quick Introduction.
Somehow we have all arrived in the same place and we call it the year 2015, in this modern world we live in full of technology, computer simulations, space stations and landing on Mars a lot of our daily lives are based on old age theories and presumptions.
Those old wives tales, those silly little sayings like don’t walk under a ladder, don’t open your crisps the wrong way up, if we had to obey all the superstitions in this world we would never go anywhere and never get anything done.
Just Pushing My Luck is a totally brand new eBook, the only thing in common with the other eBook, that is no longer available, is the first poem, which has been slightly modified. All the other poems were written in the first weeks of January 2015 with a common theme of superstition, luck and a whole lot more of those old wives tales.
The original poem is actually about writing and pushing the boundaries on what should be accepted in this confused world, as my ideas were coming together, tragedy struck in Paris Jan 2015, as everybody knows people lost their lives for pushing their luck
, I see every side of the coin but murdering people who have offended you is not the correct way of sorting it out.
Free speech is a very delicate world, some people offend to sell their image and some are just simply having a laugh, trying to make a joke out of bad news, I remember programs like Spitting Image in England or Kenny Everett and even The Young Ones, all programs taking the piss out of everybody and anybody, lots of people wrote in to complain including a certain Mary Whitehouse, the solution to your problem is not murder or censorship, it is so simple...
Turn off your television and close the book,
We fly the flag for freedom of speech,
The world over, artists unite,
Writing down our opinions,
Thus pushing our luck!
As we now enter the third update of this eBook now in 2016, we can reflect back on what was 2015, yet another tragedy in Paris, killing innocent people in bars and rock venues! More than ever we stand strong and fight against the evils of this world. I hope you like this expanded edition.
