    Sebastian has always thought Celine was invisible. She has wanted him for centuries but couldn't get his attention. Mila, the matchmaker and her friend helps set her up with Sebastian when he is looking for a date for the masked Christmas party. But he must make a contribution to a boutique and they must keep their masks on so he won't know who she is since she will go by the name Anya. They hit it off and then Sebastian is smitten and wants to meet her again. But Mila has to keep the secret and tells him to figure it out. Sebastian does figure it out and realizes he has been an idiot for not seeing her for whom she is. Their relationship blossoms.

    I enjoyed Seabastian and Celine’s story, it had a bit of a cinderella vibe with the masquerade ball. The story has a very sweet HEA. It was a shorter story and was a quick read. I listened to the audiobook and it was well done.

    This book bored me to tears!! I had to skip over and over whole paragraphs in order to be able to get to the end. This book seems to be written by a person w a fifth grade level education. No imagination, no plot, no anything really. Do not recommend!

    It was fun to see how affected Sebastian was when meeting the mysterious date and how he reacted to her not knowing who she was. It wasn't a smooth truthful meeting, but they worked it out. This is an amazing story about how people can change for the better. I have loved this series!

    I like the masquerade genre where the opportunity to be your true self without judgement is intriguing. Celine has cared about Sebastian for centuries and he has never noticed her. She is a great character and I enjoyed her quirks. Sebastian immediately is enamored over his mystery lady and he even figured out that Celine and his mystery woman ate one and the same. Impressed he figured it out although he kept dwelling on the “you deceived me” part. Started to get annoying and made him sound a bit pompous when he said he’d forgive her for it. I was also disappointed that he keeps calling her “darling” when he doesn’t love her yet. It’s just lust and we don’t really see them enough before the shotgun wedding or after to have a real bond. Sure he gets aroused by her but that’s just his body not his heart. Would have preferred them having more non-sexual moments. They can’t always be in the bedroom.
