Christmas at Snowflake Lodge: A delightful and heartwarming Christmas romance perfect for fireside reading (Delightful Christmas Book 5) Kindle Edition
Plumber Jessica Lemond is determined not to follow in her parents' footsteps by living off her famous grandfather's fortune. However, when the old timer himself elopes to Scotland with suspicions over the recent death of his much younger third wife hanging over his head and a private detective on his tail, it is left to Jessica to follow and clear up the mess. Happy to escape from her nightmarish lodger Doreen, she heads to the remote Snowflake Lodge with her young trainee Kirsten in tow. However, Snowflake Lodge - with its oddball staff and very dodgy plumbing - is not how it appears in the brochure.
Among the beautiful Scottish scenery, and with more hot chocolate and mince pies than she can possibly handle, can Jessica find something she didn't even know she was looking for?
Christmas at Snowflake Lodge is the fifth book in the Delightful Christmas series, from CP Ward, much loved author of Christmas at the Marshmallow Cafe, Autumn in Sycamore Park, and Summer at Blue Sands Cove.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2021Plumber Jessica and Kirsten, her assistant, head for a resort in Scotland as they track her grandfather down after his young wife was murdered. They hire on at the resort to keep an eye on things, meeting James who runs the reindeer sleigh rides and other various jobs. The characters are fun and the situations are very entertaining. The storyline is a mystery, drama, and comedy with surprises and twists you will never see coming. Loved the locale and the ending was terrific.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 1, 2021'Christmas at Snowflake Lodge' by CP Ward is the fifth book in her Delightful Christmas series and tells the story between Jessica, who is a plumber by trade and refuses to live off her grandfather's wealth like her parents, and James, who is a jack-of-all-trades and runs the reindeer sleigh rides during winter. Jessica and James meet when her motorbike runs out of gas on the way to Snowflake Lodge. Due to the cold and the snow Jessica and Kristin, her trainee, were invited to spend the night at James' place and then go to the lodge the next morning. Jessica is going to the lodge to track down her wily grandfather who is being accused of murdering his third wife. Jessica and Kirsten end up getting jobs at the lodge thus allowing them a cover while trying to help her grandfather. James finds Jessica intriguing and offers to help get rid of the PI that is trying to track down her grandfather.
Ms. Ward has written an intriguing addition to her series. The chemistry between Jessica and James is sweet and hot. This story has mystery, drama, thefts, family meddling, laughs, passion, and a sweet romance. Jessica's grandfather is hilarious with all the trouble he causes and gets into. I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of mystery with their romance.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 2, 2021This book was okay - but not my favorite. The story jumped around way too much and each character had a million other things going on with them. I feel like that degraded everything. Jessica, the main character, was a plumber. Who had super rich parents and she refused to accept their money so she could make it on her own. She had a flatmate that totally took advantage of her and she let her do it - she basically kicked Jessica out of her own flat. Jessica ran off to look for her 92 year old grandfather who just buried his much younger wife - oh, and he is accused of murdering her. Jessica has an apprentice that followed her to a resort in Scotland where Jessica assisted her of stealing candy bars so the apprentice ran in a blizzard. She came back later and fell in love with the crazy flatmate’s friend. This goes on and on. Too many side stories that definitely dilute the story.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2021My first Christmas book of the season! And it was a fun one. I'm off to a good start.
I was surprised to see that the author is male! I have to admit that I typically don't read many male authors. Especially books with female leads. Because they usually get it wrong. Well this male author did a great job! I really liked Jessica. I think she would be someone I would like in real life. And I loved that she was a plumber! Not normally a "female job" and I loved that! She was a strong "take care of herself" type. A good role model.
I thought James was an equally great character. But what I really loved most was the setting! A lodge in Scotland, what could be more perfect? Well... Snowflake Lodge was not exactly perfect. But it did make for a good story.
This had nice clean romance. Which shows you don't have to get dirty to be fun and good.
This story was fun, a bit suspenseful, and heartwarming, all wrapped up together for a great first Christmas read! My first read by this author and I would not hesitate to read more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Christmas at Snowflake Lodge
Another great intriguing and captivating tale about the magic of Christmas. Jessica Lemond is hot on her grandfather's trail after he disappeared from his third wife's funeral. She never expected what happened to her along the way.
