Breeze Bridge (Puffin Bay Book 5) Kindle Edition
Grayson Wynne has enough problems in his life: a difficult ex-wife, a new position as the island’s doctor, a young son and no form of childcare; he doesn’t need Clover knocking on his door determined to be his good Samaritan. Especially when she comes with feline shaped baggage and legs that are too much of a distraction for a straight-laced single dad.
He needs a nanny, and Clover needs a place to live and a job. She also needs dating lessons, but that’s where Grayson draws the line, one in permanent marker, until Clover has an offer from elsewhere. Then all of a sudden, those straight laces become very very undone…

- Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2024Clover and Grayson are my favorite couple in Puffin Bay. Clover is just a sweet as can be and Grayson is gruff, arrogant, slightly rude… but you will fall in love with him.
Clover will never leave Puffin Bay and adores her job as a Nanny. When she finds herself out of work, she doesn’t know what she is going to do. No job, no money. When she helps a very difficult stranger on the side of the road, she never imagines it is the new hot doctor in town. It just so happens he has an adorable son, Luca who needs looking after.
Grayson doesn’t believe that people can be genuinely nice and he doesn’t trust that Clover is as kind as she seems. However, he gives her a chance as a nanny. Instead of proving his theories right, he realizes just how wrong he was as he starts to fall for the nanny. Sparks fly, angels sing and rainbows shine as the story unfolds and these two fall hard for each other. I give 100 stars to this funny and heart warming, romance.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2024This was Clover’s love story. From the previous books in the series, I thought she was a creepy stalker, bit at the same time thought she was nice because there couldn’t be any other way if she was Amelie’s friend. I liked how we learned much more about her, a different side of her, in this book. It turns out she is very sweet, a nice person with a wonderful job, friends and life in the island. She just hadn’t had love in her life. She met Grayson, the new doctor in the island and ends up working as a live-in nanny for him, and falling for his son as well. It’s a funny love story with ups and downs that I just couldn’t put down!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2024Two absolutely lovely main characters, surrounded by other good friends from the previous four Puffin Bay books, take an unbelievably graceful swan dive into love. This book is as low angst as they come, but neither the character nor story arcs suffer for it. It’s as smooth and satisfying as the most decadent chocolate melting on your tongue. This is a fantastic installment in a really lovely series.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2024Breeze Bridge is book 5 in the Puffin Bay Series by Annie Dyer.
By now, in this series, we are all familiar with the delightful Clover. She is everyone's friend, and while her besties have all found love, she has remained single. She has experienced several blows recently with the loss of her job and finding out she will need to move. She is contemplating all of those things when she is driving home from London and stops to help a stranded motorist on a bridge. Little does she know this will bring about the biggest change of all.
After a dreadful marriage and even worse divorce, Dr. Grayson Wynn decided to move himself and his young son to Puffin Bay to take over as the new doctor. He loves that he will be able to maintain his orderly life without the interference of his ex or his family. But when his car breaks down on the way to his new life and he meets Clover. Somehow he knows things may not be quite as simple as he planned.
I am a huge fan of Annie Dyer's writing. I have enjoyed the Puffin Bay Series so far. This book was very sweet and steamy and one of my favorites in the series. I have always liked Clover's character, and I am happy she finally found her happy ending. I also think Grayson was the perfect match for her.
I have to admit there were a couple of parts I didn't love (very unusual for me with an AD book). I felt the chapter where Clover discusses her “relations” with her girlfriends was beyond ridiculous, way too detailed, too long and just, no. It got to the point that I was skipping through it. No one shares THAT much with their girlfriends, and if you do, I don't care to read about it especially for an entire chapter. It felt longer than the chapter where the couple actually did the deed. And then there was a second reference later in the book.
On a positive note, Luca, Grayson's son, was awesome. As was the other characters we know from previous books. It was nice to see how their lives have progressed. We also get an idea of where the remaining books will lead us.
Overall, I enjoyed this book and will look forward to more from this author as she is a favorite of mine.
ARC was provided by the author, and this is my honest review.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2024I love this series because each couple has a different road to their happily ever afters and its wonderful supporting cast of characters. Each romance is unique in its own way and Grayson and Clover's is a fun, spicey, all the feels, everything and more story that was out of this world amazing.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2024Old friends, new friends, I love catching up with Annie Dyer's latest book about Puffin Bay, a magical place. It has all the things you want in a very well written romance. Love (naturally), angst, babies, gorgeous men, beautiful women, souls you'd fight for and a wonderful story.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2024We're back in Puffin Bay and Clover finally gets her HEA! I love Clover and how she helps Grayson who is new to the area, there to take over the medical practice. Clover is still her loyal and sassy self and rescues Grayson- not only from car troubles but also as a temporary nanny to his little boy Luca. I also love Clover's cat Moonshine. We get to see all of our favorite Puffin Bay citizens. You will for sure need a fan and ice water when you read this one!
