All Deaths Endure: The Ann Kinnear Suspense Shorts
()
About this ebook
A dilapidated mansion on Philadelphia's Main Line. A wedding day promise from decades ago. A love that even death can't end--or can it? Ann Kinnear has a yearly engagement for Valentine's Day, but it's not one she's looking forward to.
"So dear I love him that with him, all deaths I could endure. Without him, live no life."
John Milton, Paradise Lost
Annalise Phipps and her butler are the only inhabitants of a deteriorating Philadelphia Main Line mansion, and each year, Annalise celebrates her wedding anniversary with a conversation over dinner with her late husband.
When a reluctant guest arrives on a snowy Valentine's Day, an evening of eerie remembrance unfolds. Each chime of the clock and flicker of candlelight evokes memories from the past and blurs the line between the living and the dead.
With expertly crafted suspense, this story interweaves the supernatural and human longing, creating a tension-filled atmosphere culminating in an unforgettable dinner party and a poignant dialogue between the seen and the unseen.

At a few minutes before six thirty, the chime of the doorbell echoed down the main hall to the dining room. Andrews made a fine adjustment to the silverware at one of the three place settings, tugged down the vest of his black suit, and walked briskly to the foyer.
