Witch Hollow (Sunshine Walkingstick Series Book 4) Kindle Edition
Much as I hated having anything to do with Terry, I couldn't hardly abandon a young'un, especially one what was close kin to my boy, God rest him.
Only, little Sophie weren't the only kid missing, and whatever took her left a trail of dark magic in its wake. Time was running short and the trail was cold. For the first time since Henry died, I floundered. Could I track down the monster what'd took Sophie while she could still be saved, or would my pride cost that little girl her life and all them other young'uns', too?

- Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2021My goodness the storyline packed into this fourth book in the series is just incredible! I know how this author writes a series after having read "Vampyr" but the way
Sunshine Walkingstick started, I didn't think it would be quite as intense ... silly me! It's brilliant!!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2020I really like Sunshine and her good heart. The dialog and phrases she uses are great. Adding narration with the accent and pacing really adds value to the story for me. This series definitely has dark aspects, but Sunny is such a strong, likeable and capable character. Truly enjoyable to follow the mystery and witness the quirky characters. Also, Riley is great and he and Sunshine together are a great match. This is book 4. I would definitely recommend starting with book one.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2020I purchased and listened to this book on Audible books!
In this book a lot of things come together to bring conclusions to much that went on before in previous books in the Series. Sunny does her usual (the right thing) throughout this story and the conclusion is good. Narrator did a lovely job on this storyline and the entire Characters throughout.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2021We learn about Missy's past, we have suspected she might be a powerful being.
There is power in that ruby ring Missy passed on to Sunshine.
Sunshine is determined to save Henry's half sister who, amongst other kids has been taken captive by an evil witch.
Sunshine finally accepted that Riley was her fellow, chasing out the cunning Belinda, while Riley liked that she got possessive.
The sheriff apologised, in his own way, for his previous behaviour and the panthers agree to let him into their secret when they all have to join forces to save the kids, including one of the panther children.
There is fighting before the kids are found. Henry's spirit comforted his half sister while she was in captivity, but Sunshine realises that she must not cling onto Henry's spirit any longer.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 9, 2021New twists and turns as Sunny helps people and her and Riley get closer. The more I read, the more I love this series
- Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2019This series keeps improving with every book. If you enjoyed Faith Hunter's Soulwood spin off series, you'll probably like this one too. The first book is a little rough in a few spots, but each book keeps getting better! Sunshine is not usually a ball of sunshine. Sunshine grows in each book. She starts out almost unlikable in some ways but she learns. I'm enjoying her journey as a character.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2019I love Sunshine Walkingstick and I'm happy Ms Roman didn't let the nay sayers stop her from telling Sunshine's story. Here's hoping Sunshine is feeling really chatty, really soon.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 1, 2019I never got to experience motherhood, one of my many regrets. This book is about lost children and redemption. I found it very moving to the point of tears. That being said, it was also a fun and funny book. It had the flavor of tying up loose ends, I hope it is not the end of the series and that we will read more about the "Sunny-verse"!

What can I say, this author just keeps on writing and keeps us invested in the storyline.
This one kept me up late to finish the story.
