This is the first book of Sylvia's that i have read and really enjoyed reading it. Love reading about Travis and Samantha and how they met and how they deal with everything that has happened in their lives. Laugh some about the ghost and how some members of the family ignore it. I look forward to reading more of her books.

So Travis puts in front of the board of the company that he is tired of doing the Dude Ranch on the Burnett family ranch. But, since only a few of the members really work at the ranch he is outvoted.
He receives a request to have a ghost hunting show come take film to show that ghosts really exist. Samantha is the shows star and she know of what she speaks because she grew up near the ranch and at one time was comforted by Travis's great-great-great-great grandmother during a school trip to the ranch. The reason that Samantha knows about the ghost is that she was always pick on in elementary school because of her bright red hair, her crocked teeth and her overall appearance. But the Burnett ghosts told her that she would one day grow up to be a beauty. Her father is killed, her mother moves her away and now she has come back to film her Ghost Hunter show without the knowledge of the Burnett family.
But, Grandma has other ideas! She has been after Travis to marry even though he has sworn off marriage after the death of his wife and baby. Grandma though knows best and when Samantha appears she sets her sites on Travis and Samantha falling in love and becoming another Burnett family.
The one problem though is Samantha knows who Travis is but in the beginning Travis doesn't know Samantha. Then when he finds out and their relationship starts to grow she still hides from him the fact that she is the host of The Ghost Hunters show.
SO, what will happen when everything is revealed and they realize that neither of them has been 100% honest. Will they be able to move beyond it? Will they be able to come together for each other and the love they share?
This is an easy read, great story and you will need to read it to find out the end.
By the way on my scale of 1-5 for older readers who prefer to not have sex scenes in their books this is basically a 3 and you would be able to skip over it without missing any features of the book.

Travis and most of his family at the ranch had been visited by their matchmaking great grandma ghost over the generations. Sweet lavender was her smell and alerted she was near. Samantha had grown up in the area and on a school trip to the ranch, she was visited by the ghost when she was hiding from the class bullies. Sparks ignite when the two meet but there are secrets and situations that cause twists and revelations. The characters are well developed, with great banter and intense feelings. Plenty of drama, a tight knit family, an idiot boss, sweet moments with forceful Eugenia, Loved the chemistry and the ending was perfect. Well done.

Up first is Travis, determined to never marry again after losing his wife and child. Running the Burnett ranch with his family is all he needs or so he thinks. Eugenia on the other hand has matchmaking plans with Samantha, a ghost hunting television star who returns to the ranch after many years to reveal that she saw and spoke to the Burnett ghost both as a young child and as and adult…

Secrets, trust issues, chemistry and more but will Eugenia succeed in matching Travis and Samantha or will they both let the secrets keep them from finding their HEA…only time and a ghostly being will tell…

No matter how much Euginia encourages, bribes, threatens or demands he stubbornly refuses to entertain dating...no matter Samantha intrigues him more than any woman ever has.
This second chance love story begins with heart break and passes through childhood trauma, but it also diverts through lust, laughter and mayhem before reaching HEA. As usual for the Burnett's Travis has to fight falling with everything he has, which leads to an entertaining banter between Travis and Euginia.
