Thanks for sharing the knowledge of this book I really enjoyed it., but I don't have access for fresh herbs and I think that dried herbs may work for tinctures as well, again thank you.

Herbs for Witchcraft - Didi Clarke
Chapter 1: Welcome to the World of Plant Magick
The natural world is the source of all life for humans. It keeps us fed, it gives us the resources we need to build and maintain a society, and its beauty provides us with emotional nourishment as well. However, to witches, nature is much more than this. It is a symbol and source of spiritual life and Divine power.
Herbs and witchcraft go hand in hand. When you think of stereotypical depictions of a witch, what do you imagine? Do you see a green-skinned old woman gently stirring some herbal concoction in a cauldron? While that’s not the most flattering portrayal of us, it does get one thing right—our use of items from the earth in magick!
While we use herbs and other plants quite frequently to work our will, the natural world is not simply a tool at a witch’s disposal. It is sacred and deserving of honor—we don’t just turn to it for help, we also celebrate and respect it!
In Herbs for Witchcraft, it’s my goal to introduce you to both of these aspects of green witchcraft. I’ll show you the techniques necessary for studying and harnessing the power of plants, but I also want to take some time to explore the philosophy of nature that structures this practice. Learning one without the other will leave you seriously lacking in the herbal magick department!
What is Green Witchcraft?
Before we go any further, I want to take a moment to define a word I just used that might be unfamiliar to some readers: green witchcraft.
This word most commonly refers to witches who work with nature-based items and deities. This includes most Wiccans, but being Wiccan is by no means a requirement for being a green witch—most of the belief systems associated with Paganism or European folk religions have aspects to them that could be considered green
in a spiritual sense.
At the end of the day, if you have a desire to explore the magickal properties of plants, become closer to nature, and learn how to live in harmony with it, you can safely call yourself a green witch. For a deeper exploration of the beliefs of green witchcraft, take a look at chapter two in this book, where I outline some of the major tenets.
What You’ll Find in This Book
This book serves as an overview of all things related to plant magick. From learning what herbs are best for certain purposes to planning spells based on the season, Herbs for Witchcraft takes you through everything you need to get started in the world of green witchcraft.
In particular, we’ll look at the following things:
Beliefs of green witchcraft
Nature-based Gods and Goddesses
Communicating with the natural world
Plant-based spells and rituals
Plant folklore
And much more!
Mother Nature awaits! Are you ready to take this journey with her?
Then let’s begin!
Chapter 2: What Does a Green Witch Believe?
Plant and herbal magick are largely about working spells with resources from the natural world. However, green witchcraft is actually a bit more complex than simply deciding what tools to use. In many ways, it is a complete way of life that involves not only magick but how we view our relationship to the natural world as well.
In this chapter, I’m going to look at some of the basic tenets of green magick that make it unique within the world of witchcraft practices. If you’ve got an interest in plant magick, many of these beliefs will probably already sound familiar to you. But it’s incredibly important to emphasize them at the beginning, because they will affect the potency of your spellwork.
Think of it this way—you wouldn’t invoke a god or goddess from a place of ignorance or disrespect, would you? Of course not! And those that do are likely to find their particular deity isn’t particularly receptive to their petitions. Similarly, the natural world
