      About the Author – Laura Powers

      Introduction

      This book is a book that has been many years in the making. I have learned so much through my work as a psychic medium, ghost whisperer, and from a lifetime of seeing and sensing the spiritual realm. I wanted to share some of the most interesting stories from my work for a variety of reasons. Some of them are wild and sometimes hard to believe. Some provide insight into the spiritual world and some are quite touching.

      I recommend reading chapters one and two on how I got into this work, and after that you can read it from front to back or you can jump around and read it by chapter. If you’d like to know more about my history and how I got into this very interesting line of work, you can read my first book, Life and the After Life: Notes from a Medium and Angel Communicator. If you want to learn more about angels and how to connect with them, you can read my second book, Angels: How to Understand, Recognize, and Receive their Guidance.

      I find that lots of people are interested in ghosts and things that are scary. I do tell some tales of scary ghosts but my aim is to help people understand this realm and shed some light on the often misunderstood world of ghosts and spirits. Sometimes things are scary just because we don’t understand them. In this realm, knowledge is truly power, and just by reading this book, you will learn a lot of helpful information too.       What I Do

      You know when you are at a party or on a plane and someone asks what you do? When asked that question, I tend to answer that I am a psychic medium, or a ghost whisperer and, boy, do I get a lot of unusual responses! I’ve had people laugh out loud (I think they thought I was joking), get really quiet and then excuse themselves, or want to ask me about a bazillion questions. I haven’t seen any statistics, but being a psychic has to be one of the most unusual professions in the world. Very often when I tell people what I do, they tell me that they have never met someone who does this before. This is not unusual! If being a psychic is unusual, being a ghost whisperer is even more unusual. It’s kind of like having a really unusual specialty in medicine; there aren’t a lot of us doing this work. When I first got into this work I struggled to find teachers. There just weren’t many people who did this and I needed help figuring out where to start. Luckily, I did eventually find teachers who helped me get started and then I did a lot of hands-on learning. One of my missions now is to get even more people trained in this profession because this type of work greatly improves the lives of those who are dealing with spirits and also helps earth bound spirits or ghosts cross over and be at peace.

      Ghost Whispering

      I do work most of the time as a psychic, but a growing part of my business is working as a ghost whisperer, paranormal communicator and demon clearer. I realize this scares a lot of people, but let me assure you that it doesn’t have to be scary as long as you are prepared for what you are getting into and that you are receiving psychic protection. It is actually very fascinating work as no two clients and situations are the same. I also often get to see immediate and longer term shifts with clients which are nothing short of incredible! When I was younger, this realm terrified me, but now I love what I do.

      In many ways, I function as a counselor for ghosts. I arrive, chat with whoever is there, find out why they have not transitioned into the light to the other side, and then help them cross. I might also deal with dark entities and demons and have them escorted away. For those who have been living with these beings in their home or business spaces, this is such a relief! For the ghosts who have been trapped here, it can end years, decades, or centuries of misery. In some cases, the living occupants have been downright tortured by these beings, or in other cases, they are simply not happy with the energy around them. In more extreme cases, my clients want to stop the enormous expenses that are resulting from problems and accidents caused by these beings. Wherever unhappy ghosts and dark entities are, dysfunction reigns and weird plumbing problems are the norm! If you have a money pit where everything keeps breaking, you very well could have some of these beings sharing your living space. Oftentimes, when there is a lot of dark entity and ghost activity in a space, it can also result in illness.

      The stories told here are some of the more extreme ones, but many places have ghosts that are far less intense and noticeable. The truth is, we are sharing this earth with many beings that don’t have physical bodies and many of them, like ghosts, would be better off if they crossed over.
