Sinfully good
After the bomb that was dropped at the end of the first book, I wasn't as surprised by the bombs that were dropped in this book. And, let me tell you, there were some good ones!I LOVED Gia and Romeo's story. It had everything I love about an enemies-to-lovers story.Drama.Banter.Push.Pull.Giving in to desire.Staking a claim.More push.More pull.Sacrifice.Redemption.I KNEW there was more behind Romeo's motivation than what we had been led to believe and that was confirmed quite early on.The surprise (or not, if you read the disclaimer) near the end had me fist pumping because gosh, it was good. It was everything I didn't know I needed in their story. And that epilogue? Absolute gold. The perfection of that part of the book had me close to happy tears.4.5 stars

Omg! This Romeo & Juliet story is sooo good! It's my first read by the author, Emily Bowie.

Adult children of warring mob bosses fall in love. Will their love be enough to grant them an HEA? Read Emily Bowie's Mafia, enemies to lovers romance focusing on Romeo and Gia to discover their love story.

Emily Bowie's slow developing of attraction to love makes the couple's first kiss and their love scenes hot and poignant at the same time. Truly beautiful.

Romeo - his father's murder reduced him to the pig farmer looking to regain his position of power.

Gia - her fiance's admission that he's gay launches her into a reckless night involving a fake fight to break up the engagement, her sister's death, and driving a stolen car which Gia totals when she wipes out.

That night changes everything for Romeo and Gia. Romeo seizes an opportunity when Gia wrecks his car and loses her memory. Time on the pig farm with the two of them away from their warring families gives them a chance to get to know each other like they've never seen each other. Romeo's doing his best to make Gia fall in love with him while falling in love with her. When the time comes for Gia to be returned to her family deals are made and everyone walks away alive but without love. How then will this couple get their happy ending? By each of them putting everything they have on the line for each other.

This was a fantastic Mafia love story featuring an enemies to lovers, Romeo & Juliet vibe! I highly recommend Sinful Kisses!

This is the second book in this series. They can be read as standalone books. I haven’t read the first one and wasn’t lost at all. This is the first book I have read by Emily and really enjoyed it. I have already purchased the first book in this series to read as well. Romeo was supposed to be the new head of his family when his father and brother were killed instead someone else took over and he and his brother have been assigned to working a pig farm. Gia has had her whole life planned out. She was going to marry her best friend, Alfonso. They were going to have kids and a marriage just like her parents. Only things take a very different turn when Alfonso tells Gia his secret. Romeo wants back in the life and off the stupid farm. Gia has never really been her own person just what others expect her to be. A car accident and a bit of amnesia will change both their lives. This book was an interesting read. Love can come from the most unexpected places. All the characters in this book are great. Romeo’s brother is known as the butcher. I can’t wait to read his story. I have a feeling there is much more to him than anyone knows. Great job Emily.

    Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4.5)
    Trope: enemies to lovers
    Angst: 😰😰
    Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥
    Triggers: none

Sinful Kisses is the second book in the Dark Mafia Sins Series by Emily Bowie. It is a standalone, but best read after Sinful Daughter.

I really enjoyed this book! Emily does a really good job of taking characters that we aren’t necessarily found of when we first meet them, have them grow, and turn into characters we’re rooting for! When we first meet Romeo, he is super bitter about his place in life and comes across a little whiny. His life is in the (pig) toilet, literally, and it's through no fault of his own. There doesn’t seem like there’s anything he can do to move up and it’s frustrating the heck out of him. Likewise, Gia is a mafia princess that seems to have the whole world at her feet while the universe revolves around her, until it all comes crashing down.

Ironically, the same incident that provides Romeo a chance to better his station in life is the same one that enables Gia to grow and find out exactly who she is, unencumbered by the expectations of others. They both have to complete their own difficult journey to get where thy need to be - both for theirselves as well as each other. I’m really loving this series and can’t wait to see where it goes next!

"She’s my obsession. Her sinful kisses fueled me to greatness."

Romeo and Gia were FIRE!! This has to be my favorite of the series so far, the characters each from separate sides of a warring family thrown together in an unlikely, partially orchestrated plan for power. Igniting a war between families, themselves, and against the world, they battled fiercely, and fell so hard. It was Mafia Romance perfection, rife with betrayal, action, suspense, searing hot couple, secrets and twists galore, I couldn't put it down. The perfect balance between swoon and gasp....

One of the best enemies to lovers stories I've read. I know the whole series is enemies to lovers, but I really loved this one. The stories get better and better with each couple.

Romeo and Gia's intense, twisted love story is about revenge, power struggles, passion, guilt, violence, protectiveness, manipulation, betrayal and many surprises. All the books in this series are interconnected.
