It got me thinking about disinformation in my world, which led to adding a couple of things to my plot that I'd not considered before. So it is useful, even if it is a little on the skinny side.

Introduction
Misinformation, Disinformation, and Propaganda have been part of human society for awhile. Horrible atrocities and terrible tragedies too often are due to bad information
and deliberate manipulation. In the 21st century, with data rushing around the Internet, many of us realize the extent of damage manipulation and falsehoods could cause.
When we write fiction, misinformation, disinformation, and propaganda are often part of our settings. Wartime propaganda, manipulative spies, or mistaken choices are in our tales as much as our lives. This book is part of a series on worldbuiding advice – and these subjects deserved a book on their own.
How did this come about? Many years ago, I published a column series on worldbuilding called Way With Worlds,
taking what I'd learned from writing, gaming, and coaching people. Years later, I revived and re-wrote it, including knowledge I'd gained from various projects and experiences. After that re-write, it became a book series because I wanted to preserve it in a more accessible form.
