The Little Book of Tiny Tasks - Arcadia Page
Mornings when I went to work used to go like this:
Wake up and search for my work clothes.
Pull my crumpled clothes out of the clothes basket, get dressed, do my hair. Get annoyed at how I can't find my hair ties.
Run around the kitchen to cook eggs, sausage, and toast.
Start to freak out about running late, and I still have to put together my lunch.
Slap together a PB&J sandwich. Throw it in my lunch bag. Squeeze a whole bag of chips into my lunch bag as well.
Search for my phone, my socks, and be happy that I packed a lunch that doesn't require a fork because they're all dirty.
Fumble with the keys as I rush to lock the door, hating that once again I didn't have the time to brew a cup of tea.
Go to work feeling stressed out, tired, and wondering why my mornings are always such a mess.
