About this ebook
Worldbuilding is the ultimate act of creation for speculative fiction writers, but how exactly do you worldbuild? You ask ‘what if’ and use each answer as a springboard to more questions and answers about your fictional world.
In The A-Zs of Worldbuilding, that ‘what if’ process is broken down into 26 themed chapters, covering topics ranging from architecture to zoology. Each chapter includes a corresponding set of guided exercises to help you find the ‘what if’ questions relevant to your story’s world. The guided exercises are essay-style questions, and the print version of the book includes space to write your answers in if you choose to do so.
Fair warning, though: worldbuilding is addictive. Once you get started, you might never put your pen down again.

Now, she writes character-driven epic fantasy featuring resilient women in trying and impossible circumstances who just want to save themselves but usually end up saving the world, often while falling in love. Rebekah also writers non-fiction for writers. Her published works include a fantasy novella, The Path of Mercy, available in Beatitudes and Woes: A Speculative Fiction Anthology, and The A-Zs of Worldbuillding: Building a Fictional World From Scratch.Rebekah lives in Tulsa, OK with her husband, dog, two formerly feral cats, a small flock of feathered dragons (...chickens, okay? They're chickens.) and an extensive tea collection. When she is not writing, she can be found battling the elements in an effort to create a productive, permaculture urban homestead on a shoestring budget.
