I adored this book! I was laughing out loud at practically everything Cameron said.
While I did laugh, I also yelled at my kindle on multiple occasions. I love a book that elicits every emotion from me!

This was my first read by Amy and it won't be my last. I can't wait for the 2nd book!

I absolutely loved this book! Gracie, Ashton and especially Cameron made me want to be apart of this gang. I'd love to have friends like this. They bring a level of closeness and family. Oh and they always have so much fun together, which includes having each other backs when something bad happens.
Gracie hasn't had the best track record with guys. She usually picks out the jerks and when she meets Ashton, she decides to do it differently. Since she has someone, they become friends. Being with Ashton makes her realize that her life isn't going as planned. She's determined to change that but just as soon as she's happy, trouble happens in form a stalker. This guy was piece of work for sure. Throughout everything they went thru, they remained strong and dedicated to one another. I absolutely loved Ashton, he was hurting and with Gracie, he was able to heal and move one. This book really is about healing from the past and finding love with some sexy southern gentleman. While I loved Gracie and Ashton, I loved Cameron(the drama queen) and Gavin, Derrick, Angel and Mary Jane. They are the type of friends you want in your life. This book has sweet and fun moments but it also has a crazy stalker who will stop at nothing to get the girl he loves back. I really enjoyed this book!

Though the journey had been a long one with many curves and complications, it was worth the ride.
    *****

For the Love of Gracie is one of those stories that will stay with me for a long time. There is so many great aspects to this book it will be difficult to give it what it really deserves.

Gracie is your typical college girl, has a close-knit circle of friends, dates douche-bags, and her best friend, Cameron, is gay. Her current boyfriend mistake is Hudson, a sexy hunk who romances and wows her. The sex is hot and he seems really into her. Then Cameron introduces her to Ashton and the sparks fly between them! But Gracie thinks Ashton is gay and would never be attracted to her. There are so many “signs” that Ashton is gay that Gracie is devastated. Gracie and Ashton spend so much time together they become close friends. It is all she can do to not give into her sexual fantasies for him.

    *****
The image that flashed in my head was of Ash ripping my corset open, lifting me onto the pool table and giving me some horizontal refreshment.
    *****

Plus, Hudson is still clinging to her closely and she doesn't want to be alone so she puts up with his occasional temper tantrums and aggressiveness.

I fell madly in love with Cameron, Gracie's gay friend! He was so devoted to her and hilariously funny and sweet.

    *****
Sculpt it, brush it, trim it, shave it, hell, tattoo a lawn mower on it and die it green with a sign that says 'Keep off the grass,' just don't tell me about it.
    *****

As her friendship with Ashton becomes stronger, her feelings for Hudson are quickly fading. He displays more instances of rage and violence, but is quick with his apologies. Gracie has enough and tries to break it off, but Hudson loses it and violates her in the worst way. *****TRIGGER*****

This is where the book really opened up for me. Hudson is obsessed, wants her back and uses her friends against her. Gracie is traumatized, but Ashton is right there for her.

When Gracie finally realizes that Ashton is not gay and that he has been patiently waiting for her to get over Hudson, nothing can stop the intense chemistry between them!

    INTRIGUED?

So what happens to Gracie and Ashton? Does Cameron find love also? What happens to Hudson?

A rollercoaster of events takes the reader on a wild ride of angst, attempted murder, love, and maybe a HEA?

    *****
"Sometimes happiness is staring us right in the face and we don't even know it.”
    *****

1-click this wonderfully written, romantic, steamy story of Gracie, Ashton and Cameron. Prepare yourself for a wild ride!

Overall, it’s a cute new adult that tackles some adult situations.

Ashton is smooth, and definitely one that you want to take home to mom. Sometimes he seemed a little too good to be true, but, I guess that’s why it’s called fiction, right? And he is Prince Charming on a Harley—and we all know Prince Charming is too good to be true. Even still, I just wanted to eat him and his awesome gift-giving skills up.

Just like Ashton may have been a bit too good to be true, best friend Cameron is a bit over-the-top and almost reads as a caricature. That said, Cameron is funny as hell and provides a lot of much-needed levity in a read that can be insanely heavy at times.

Don’t let my nit-picking at characters stop you from picking this one up though. It had several laugh-out-loud lines and a few more melt-in-a-puddle-and-never-recover moments as well.

And I really, really want the heels with the cherry straps.

I liked the supporting characters and Ashton but I had a hard time relating with Gracie. I would consider this book VERY NA based on Gracie’s maturity level. However I have now read the second and third book in this series and I’ve enjoyed the main characters much more. I do recommend the other books in this series.
