4.5 out of 5 stars 4,581 ratings

Finding out you’re the daughter of a millionaire true crime novelist isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
When I was two, I was kidnapped. Kidnapped by a loving family, sure, but still kidnapped.
Now, my biological mom wants me to live with her on the opposite side of the country.

Her … and my new stepdad and his jerk of a son: Parrish.
Wannabe tattoo artist, languorous rich boy, pouty mouth.
Starting a new life on the West Coast sucks, especially when there’s no love lost between me and my new family.

Oh, and my biological father? Did I mention that he’s a serial killer who wants me to play his games?
Find the right clues, follow the right trail, or someone I love gets hurt.
But what if he’s just kidnapped someone I hate instead?

Parrish Vanguard is a royal asshole.
The question is: does he deserve to die?

With the help of Parrish’s best friends—Maxx and Chasm—I have to risk everything to save a boy who considers himself my sworn enemy. Even if I save his ass, he’ll never thank me.
Lucky for him that our love-hate relationship isn’t a deal breaker.

I’ll play, Dad.
Start the game.

C.M. Stunich is a self-admitted bibliophile with a love for exotic teas and a whole host of characters who live full time inside the strange, swirling vortex of her thoughts. Some folks might call this crazy, but Caitlin Morgan doesn't mind – especially considering she has to write biographies in the third person. Oh, and half the host of characters in her head are searing hot bad boys with dirty mouths and skillful hands (among other things). If being crazy means hanging out with them everyday, C.M. has decided to have herself committed.

She hates tapioca pudding, loves to binge on cheesy horror movies, and is a slave to many cats. When she's not vacuuming fur off of her couch, C.M. can be found with her nose buried in a book or her eyes glued to a computer screen. She's the author of over thirty novels – romance, new adult, fantasy, and young adult included. Please, come and join her inside her crazy. There's a heck of a lot to do there.

Oh, and Caitlin loves to chat (incessantly), so feel free to e-mail her, send her a Facebook message, or put up smoke signals. She's already looking forward to it.

Not your typical bully/ enemies to lovers romance.
Dakota struggles to come to terms with her new reality and new siblings who aren’t fond of her from day one. The book is shrouded in mystery as this Seattle slayer keeps getting randomly mentioned until near the end where it becomes more part of the story.

I like that it’s not insta romance and that there is a building story here as Dakota finds out more about her family, starts working on a mystery and develops feelings for a couple of guys. The world building has fleshed out what promises to be a good story

I enjoyed this book, the twists and turns were fun to read and I enjoyed seeing the characters figure each other out and start to develop their feelings and relationships, some taking longer than others haha. I enjoyed Dakota most of the time and I enjoyed her developments with the 3 sexy, flawed guys (I have to said Chas is adorable and I need one of him in my life!!!) I will say one of the things that is the same between the guys (I am not going to spoil it) is so far-fetched, all 3 of them couldn't be that as seniors in HS and freshman in college. I just skimmed over that part honestly. I liked the twist with Maxx, I didnt see it coming. and Parrish really grew on me. I loved the drops of nerdiness throughout, so awesome. In terms of the plot I thought it was a neat concept, it really picked up at the end, and I can't wait to see where CM goes with it.

I thought Tess was an absolutely horrible character and she won't be redeemed in my eyes ever, after the stuff she pulls. Some of it was pretty outlandish, but its fiction despite it being contemporary haha. I wanted to shake her or punch her most of the time. Like I get it, this horrible thing happened to you and you lost a lot of time with your daughter and she isn't what you expected, but her instincts/gut reactions are atrocious. I thought the elitist aspect was done well (in terms of the privilege, giving kids surgeries as presents??), made me happy to be where I am in my life haha. On the opposite side, I really like Maxine and I have a feeling her heart is going to be obliterated in book 2 and probably by her sister, which is super unfortunate. I thought Kimber needs a huge attitude adjustment and I loved how much one of the younger siblings read ❤️

I think what held me back giving this a 5 was it was discombobulated in some parts, not as cohesive as CM usually does, and some things got pretty repetitive. I think these things could have been caught with beta readers or editors and if they had been fixed I would have given it 5 stars. I think it just made the book longer for no reason. Like Dakota would internally let us know her feelings/thoughts, but we would get reminders it felt like every chapter of the same thing. Just some unnecessary fluff that needed to be more streamlined.

Overall I really liked this premise and most of the characters haha and need to know what happens next with the plot. I won't give things away buuuuuut I need more confirmation/OK that a certain person is gonna come back in one piece. Already preordered book 2, glad it won't be a super long wait for it.

This manages to be both plot and character driven. I have gotta admit, CM Stunich writes some amazingly compelling plots. They begin with common tropes, but there is always something completely outside the box. The spice is mild, but as teenagers, I don't know i would feel comfortable with anything more than that. It's perfect for the story.

I don't usually do this but I am going to go on a bit of a rant. I read several of the reviews and I think that those of you that might not have liked this book should have kept your reviews to your self!! People might not like what I have to say but I don't really care because they showed no compassion, no empathy and no regard for the author her self. The authors put their all in their books and sure there are bound to be those skeptics but if you really don't like a book I don't think it's fair to the authors to poop all over their hard work. Just be HUMAN!

C.M. Stunich I thought that Stolen Crush was an AMAZING beginning to the Lost Daughter of a Serial Killer series. You provided all the back stories and info on the characters in the flawless way that you always do! This book was of a different decree that your past books but that made it that much more special! You made the characters real and their stories that much more interesting.

Kota's life imploded around her the day she caught that Netflix show and from there things for her were never to be the same. She was returned to her mother and tried and tried to give it a chance. But being sixteen you make plenty of mistakes. She was due her right to grieve the only life that she knew. She was upset and she was angry with EVERY right. Therefore she lashed out in ways that she didn't even know how to explain her self. In her old life Kota never reacted and talked to people the way that she was. Parrish brought out the worst in Kota but at the same time they continued to draw to other. They could not fight their magnetism.

The connections that began to form with Parrish and with Chasm give us hopes for what saucy things might be in store next. Dakota shares a heat with Parrish that is undeniable and that heat just continues to pull them together until neither can take all the built up sexual tension.

She started to second guess her self. Had she made up all the weird things happening to her?!? Were they real or just a nightmare?!? But things aren't as they seem and Dakota is very much not been imagining things as they hit there climax and she finds out the truths. Unfortunately the truth is not always what we imagine it to be and it is ready to test her. She is in the game of her life and she is fighting for someone else's at the same time. Can she beat this new game!?! Can she find a trick to beat him?!? One thing is for sure she is down for the challenge!

I cannot WAIT for Payback Princess to be released so that I can delve further into these characters and their story! Thank you again C.M. Stunich for another AMAZING story!!

Enemies to lovers, intrigue, drama, angst, serial killers, reverse harem, plot twists and suspense.
    Sign me up.
There is a little bit of heat (teenage sex) in this, but not too much. In the first book at least. I wouldn’t say it’s over graphic, but age appropriate for 16+
The plot is really good. Lots of puzzle pieces dropped. I’ve spent the last 20% of the book wishing she would put some of those clues together, like what daddy calls her, and the visitor, but I’m hoping that will happen soon in book 2, because I got to say, for a girl who is meant to be good at puzzles and games, she didn’t catch onto Daddy’s pet name at all. That one was glaringly obvious. That and the really obvious bad editing through a lot of the book is why it only got 4 stars.
I definitely recommend reading it though.
