Heather and Heartache: Wild Blooms, Book 19 Kindle Edition

4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 94 ratings

Every day I help others achieve their happily ever after. Day after day, loving partners come to my store and request blooms for the ones they love. I can’t help but wonder if their lives will ever be mine.

After being left at the altar by the person I thought was the one, life has never returned to normal or gotten back on track.
Two years later, I’m still lost. My life is spent working and breathing. I’ve never recovered from his betrayal.

This new adventure is unexpected. A chance to experience something different and new, while keeping something that is mine.

Moving from the bustling city of New York to a small island in Scotland may seem extreme, but to me it is necessary.
I need change, and I need it now. I can’t go on being the lonely sullen woman I’ve become.

Now, sitting in the plane waiting for it to rise into the air, I wonder what the future holds.

Will what I’m searching for be waiting for me? Or in three months’ time, when I return home, will nothing have changed?

Author note: This book is a steamy contemporary romance novella (Approx 32k words). It is recommended for readers aged eighteen years and over.

This story had me laughing and crying and falling in love with all the characters. The instant attraction between Ivy and Scott is amazing. The kinship between Ivy and Scott's daughter is heartwarming. The feelings they battle as they try not to fall in love are beartbreaking.

The ending is almost perfect... I only wish there was more to read.

While short, there was a really sweet sentiment to the story. I do wish there was a little more depth to the relationship and building to love

This was actually my first 'spicy' read 😳. Honestly, it was a shocker to me, but I really enjoyed the storyline. Ivy gets left at the alter, and 2yrs later she's still feeling in a funk. She owns a floral shop in New York, and decides to join a program where she switches floral shops in a different part of the world. Ivy decides to take the chance and heads to a small island in Scotland for the summer and runs the local floral shop there. Her neighbor is, of course, a handsome divorcé with a young daughter. Need I say more... Go pick this book up - kindle unlimited or paperback! Short read, great storyline, and spice.

Heather and Heartache was a beautiful sweet read by V.R. Tennant! This is a dual POV Novella and is the perfect refreshing romance I needed. Ivy being left at the altar 2 years ago who still feels jilted and embarrassed gets the opportunity of a lifetime in Scotland. There she meets Scott, a hard working single dad with a foul mouth but sexy as can be. She begins to realize love can happen for her after all. If you want a short quick read with lots of laughs and some spice with a happily ever after this book is for you.

My feelings while reading:
I felt Ivy on so many levels, when you go through pain the way she did it takes a lot to come back from that. You could feel the hatred she had for others being in love or having someone in general. Ivy was so depressed and you could feel it, that's how relatable her pain was. I loved how she voiced her feelings and didn’t care what Scott thought. I also loved the Scotland background with the island and the different festivals they had going on.

It was a cute short story that ended in a HEA. The ending had me crying that was a real out of the love story/ movie moment for sure!

Honestly there wasn’t anything I didn’t like about this read.

Overall I enjoyed this romance book from the beginning to the end. It was amazing. I might be a little biased because I really do love VR Tennents books! If you're looking for a quick romance read here it is. This was a 5/5 star read.

Dual POV novella that will make your heart sing! Ugh I absolutely adore Ivy and Scott (from Scotland 😆IYKYK)

Our beautiful author did such an amazing job with this story- I felt as if I’d read a full fledged novel because of the vast detail she’s written. Heather and Heartache was an amazing shorter read that I was able to fit between 2 of my longer reads and it was perfect *chef’s kiss here* 🫶🏻

Don’t be fooled; Ivy and Scott’s journey may only be just under 150 pages but it is not lacking in any department. Especially not with the spice 🌶️🙌🏻

Gimme all of the filthy-mouthed men and let’s call it a day 🙈 Scott is positively swoon worthy in every way and I couldn’t get enough of these two.

Heather and Heartache is live 06/15 and not a release you’ll want to miss. The final book in the Wild Blooms series, y’all 🥲❤️

Love after heartache, Ivy finds herself still upset after being left at the altar two years ago. After one drunk night with her sister, she fills out an app to switch franchise locations with someone else within her florist brand. She finds out she’s getting sent to a little island off of Scotland.

When arriving she gets an unexpected awaking. She finds when she is going to be staying and also a little girl. The little girl takes Ivy to meet her dad because they were expecting her. Enter Mr. Grumpy, the attraction for them is an insta. They have a wild night, then his sheild goes up to try to protect his daughter. Follow the story along to get more details!

The story is the perfect example of love after defeat. Finding a happily ever after , with someone is Ivys dream. The writing is beautiful done and keeps you on your toes.. I felt the characters emotions the whole step of the way.

Hope to see their relationship bloom into more in the future.

The writer needs a refresher course in the use of pronouns. Subject and object pronouns are not interchangeable.
The story ends abruptly with the reader having to assume things can be worked out. It was short...why not just finish the story? It could have been done in one chapter!
