About the author

Sarah E. Burr has been dreaming of being Nancy Drew since her small-town days in Appleton, Maine—but when corporate America didn’t deliver any mysteries, she started writing her own! Now an award-winning author, Sarah pens the Book Blogger Mysteries, Court of Mystery series, and the fan-favorite Trending Topic Mysteries and Glenmyre Whim Mysteries. Her cozy crafting caper, "You Can’t Candle the Truth," was a 2022 finalist for both the NGIBA and Silver Falchion awards, while "#TagMe for Murder" was a 2024 NGIBA finalist for Best Click Lit Fiction.
A proud Sisters in Crime member, Sarah also co-hosts "It’s Bookish Time TV," a cozy web channel full of fun author interviews.
When not plotting her next whodunit, Sarah sings show tunes, plays video games with her husband, and takes long walks with her adorable pup, Eevee.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2018Just another great read in the series! I enjoy mysteries and period pieces and this series combines those well. The latest release didn't disappoint. Recently read it on a flight for work and before you knew it, I was almost done. I like a book that can keep my attention and makes me ponder who, how, what and why. This had a good twist! Highly recommend!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2018Completed the series and loved it! Reminiscent of mid evil times which is one of my favorite time periods, with mystery, murder and romance.

Her characters are vividly woven can’t wait for the next one
- Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2018The author has done it for the fifth time! The mystery in this story will catch you by surprise while also providing the proven character development found in the four previous books in the Ducal Detective Mysteries (5 Book Series). The benefit to this story is its length, though, if you enjoy it as much as I do, you will want to keep reading even after the story ends! A note that this book is a bit longer than the others, but it's a great book to escape with.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2018I just knew I had the guilty party identified, but the author's skillful plotting had a surprise in store for me that I didn't see coming. I'm really enjoying this series, and this is the best one yet. Already looking forward to the next entry.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2018Another page turner with grand depiction, plot twists, excitement and shock. The way you framed the characters had me being a detective with Jax. It also felt like I could watch this as a tv series or movie, the story line was that engaging. Great work Sarah
- Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2018The Royal Wedding has finally arrived! Along with another great mystery! Such fun to read. Once I started, I couldn't put it down. I sure hope Book #6 is in the works!
