    Nico “Chains” Trinidad is a brother in the RBMC and has special “abilities”. He holds himself away from most people since touching them allows him to “see” into their minds which is invasive to both him and the other person, as well as being emotionally overwhelming. Nico meets Jasmine at a club party and as soon as they meet the attraction between them is 🔥🔥🔥, but he doesn’t know she’s the sister of Angel, one of his MC brothers. The story takes place over several years as Nico and Jasmine slowly find their way to a place where they could work at having a viable relationship. Kept apart by Jaz’s brother’s disapproval of their relationship and the physical and emotional trauma she sustained. Jasmine feels broken and dirty after her ordeal and is afraid that if Nico touches her, he’ll see everything and it would kill him.

    What a fabulous continuation of my favorite series! I found the story super original and the world building fantastic. I loved the imagining the concept of having a loved one that you could not touch and what that would look like and how that would feel. There was tons of action, some twists and turns, and a little suspense centering around the “why” of the reappearance from someone in Nico's past. Kristine's stories have a way of sinking their fingers into you and not letting go and Chains is no exception. I do feel like Nico and Jasmine had to complete this entire, difficult journey so they both could become what the other one needed ❤️.

    Chains is the 4th book in Kristine Allen’s RBMC: Ankeny, IA chapter series. Chains can be read as a standalone, but best read in order with the others in the series. This series is my favorite in the RBMC world and has supernatural/paranormal elements to all the stories. You will not be disappointed when starting with Voodoo. Can’t wait for Ghost’s book!

    One night. One night changed the lives of Nico and Jasmine. Not knowing who the other was, they fall into each other. After learning the truth, Nico leaves. Not wanting to get in trouble with the only family he's ever known.

    After years apart, Nico is now Chains and the feels for Jasmine are still there. They both are drawn to each other as they are each the others missing piece.

    Events bring their relationship to light in a way that neither of them wanted. Brothers feel betrayed and Chains is forced to stay away.

    The two of them are completely lost without the other. They knew they were meant for one another the moment they met. Convincing their families of the same caused issues they didn't want to have to deal with.

    More drama is brought into the fold when the past finally catches up with them. The paranormal becoming even stranger for them. Twists that you don't see coming and outcomes your aren't prepared for.

    Chains and Jazzy - you can feel the amount of love they have for each other. How much they would do for the other. Two souls forever connected, deeper than most can understand. The magic between them radiates.

    ***Chris - You were taken from this world far too soon. You were front and center in my mind while reading this story. You are forever Chains and forever Tool for me. Rest in Paradise.***

    HOLY HE*L!!! Chains has been a long time coming and it was sooooo worth the wait. This book just about did me in. Nico/Chains and Jasmine's story is full of tragedy, surprises and chaos to say the least. Just when you think you have things figured out, here comes something else to slap you in the face and totally take your breath away. It seems Kristine Allen put a little "extra" into this book. I know I say this with every book but I reallllly think Chains is my favorite in the Royal Bastards Ankeny Chapter. Kristine Allen has outdone yourself with this one!

    Wow !!
    I certainly did not expect the way this book turned out. It took me by total surprise.

    This story follows Nico from a homeless teen to a fully patched member of his club. So much opposition to finally get to there happy.

    “Where  Angels  Fear  to  Tread”—Bryan  Adams

    Jasmine is one of the brothers sister and off limits but they just can’t help there attraction.

    This is my first book by this author and it made a wonderful first impression.

    Jasmine and Nico meet at his welcome home party from the military. The pull is immediate and they know they are destined to be together. Nico has a special gift, he sees things of he touches your skin. What he doesn't know is Jasmine is his buddy Angel who's a member of the Royal Bastards MC. Shes off limits. As the years pass Nico aka Chains becomes a member of the Royal Bastards MC amd Jasmine has had some traumatic stuff happen. Can these two get past the past thats kept them apart? What will her brother think? Will there be a HEA?

    This book was filled with so much emotion and angst. At some points I didn't know who I wanted to yell at to get their stuff together. Nico and Jasmine both had been through too much and had way too many obstacles in their way over the years. They needed to catch a break and get their HEA. It seemed like nothing ever worked in their favor with all the odds always against them. They were two hearts destined to be one. They were each others soul mate, but needed the time to piece one another back together. I highly recommend this book and love always seeing the other characters that show up in the story!

    I loved this book. Not that I’m surprised since I’m pretty obsessed with this series by Kristine Allen. This combines two of my favorite genres, MC and paranormal. The paranormal element was pretty heavy in this book, whereas it was lighter in others in the series. Nico/Chains is so sweet and yet tough. He’s clearly suffered because of his gift, but that doesn’t stop him from loving Jasmine. As always you don’t just love the main characters, the secondary characters are what make the story more than great. I am dying for Ghost’s book.
