The Forever Crew: A High School Murder-Mystery Romance (Adamson All-Boys Academy Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 5,508 ratings

The secret is out.

I’m officially dating the entire Student Council, but that’s not the only thing that’s outside the norm at Adamson All-Boys Academy.

Nah, I think the murders are a bit more remarkable, although my dad might disagree. He’s not exactly thrilled with my fake fiancé or the other four boys that make my pulse race.

With two current students dead, and three attackers on my tail, it looks like I’m next. The fact that I’m a target isn’t in question, but are the people closest to me involved somehow? Everyone’s a suspect—my family, my classmates, even my new boyfriends.

Okay, that’s it. I’m going to do it: I’m going to attend Adamson in a fucking skirt, and kick some ass.

Follow the clues, catch the bad guys, secure my future. Because, murder-mysteries aside, this is my final year of high school, and nothing lasts forever, right? Not even a forever crew.

***THE FOREVER CREW is a 100,000 word lighthearted reverse harem/high school/murder-mystery romance novel with a bully/suspense twist. This is book three of three in the series (with a fourth book crossover coming, titled "Orientation", that connects this series with my "Rich Boys of Burberry Prep" series). Contains foul language and sexual scenes; any sex featured is consensual.

C.M. Stunich is a self-admitted bibliophile with a love for exotic teas and a whole host of characters who live full time inside the strange, swirling vortex of her thoughts. Some folks might call this crazy, but Caitlin Morgan doesn't mind – especially considering she has to write biographies in the third person. Oh, and half the host of characters in her head are searing hot bad boys with dirty mouths and skillful hands (among other things). If being crazy means hanging out with them everyday, C.M. has decided to have herself committed.

She hates tapioca pudding, loves to binge on cheesy horror movies, and is a slave to many cats. When she's not vacuuming fur off of her couch, C.M. can be found with her nose buried in a book or her eyes glued to a computer screen. She's the author of over thirty novels – romance, new adult, fantasy, and young adult included. Please, come and join her inside her crazy. There's a heck of a lot to do there.

Oh, and Caitlin loves to chat (incessantly), so feel free to e-mail her, send her a Facebook message, or put up smoke signals. She's already looking forward to it.

I've said it before, and I will say it again, the academy trope is one of my favorites. I haven't found many books with this trope that I don't like, and this series wasn't the exception. I normally do individual book reviews, but I flew through this series so fast that I decided to do a series review instead. The series starts out as a lighthearted bully romance and ends in a mystery/reverse harem. I didn't hate it.

The mystery in the series was nice because it kept the book fairly fast paced. The romance was great between the characters, but the mystery just added another level. And, on top of that, the main female character pretended to be a boy in an all boys school for most of the series. So, that plotline added another layer into the series. Romance starts in book one and then the spice just increases throughout the series, which was also a plus.

I loved all the characters in this series. The main female character, Charlotte aka Chuck, was a bit annoying in the first half of book one, but she's written this way so that her character has growth. Ranger and Church were my favorites because they had the most layers out of the other guys, but Tobias, Micah and Spencer were all in a close second. I enjoyed everyone in the reverse harem, and there was a great mix of personalities. Ranger was the emo kid that loves cute things, Church was stoic and reserved on the outside but multilayered on the inside, Micah was sharper than his twin Tobias but just as sweet, and Spencer was the flirt and the cinnamon roll of the group.

If I had to criticize anything about this series I would have to say that sometimes the end of the chapters read like a diary from Charlottes POV. This was kind of odd, and threw me off a bit sometimes, but it wasn't enough to detract from the series as a whole. Overall, I would say that this series is five stars (aka five iced coffees) for me, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone that wants to dip their toes into a lighthearted bully reverse harem romance. It's a good starter series for bully romance.

I loved The Forever Crew! I mean, in all honesty, I loved the entire series and I love CM Stunich. And The Forever Crew did not disappoint as the culmination of Charlotte and the Student Council’s senior year at Adamson Academy.

As with all of CM’s books, I can gush about the great writing, the phenomenal characters, and the brilliant story. One of the things I particularly love about this group of characters is that their relationships are founded in love. And it is from that love that they experience the world - their friendships, individual relationships with Charlotte and their polyamorous relationship together.

There is so much fun and laughter in this story you almost forget there’s a real mystery and a real danger and your favorite characters (yes! more than one!) are at risk. Almost. CM weaves the mystery story so well into the love story and at such a great pace that you don’t have a chance to catch your breath, much less lose interest. Let’s not forget to mention the very sexy moments that are scorching hot and just slightly less intense than the emotional, heartfelt, swoon-worthy moments.

I couldn’t help but fall in love with Charlotte, Spencer, Church, Ranger, Micah, and Tobias!

So I reviewed the first book separately but didn’t review the second so I’m just going to give an over all review here. 3.8 stars for this series!
I enjoyed the mystery of this series more than I enjoyed the actual characters. At the end of the day we know little to nothing about three of the male MCs other than their interactions with Chuck. Chuck is annoying even when she thinks she is growing up and changing. I’m not sure why any of the guys are interested in her. So again the mystery had me hooked.
I enjoyed the cheese in the first book but the second book had no substance for me. I didn’t feel like we discovered that much in the way of the mystery and we didn’t really get to know the characters on a deeper level so it fell flat for me.
This third book was okay; the mystery continues and we start to get answers but all of the action happens in the last 10% of the book. It was sort of anticlimactic when we didn’t find out if all of the culprits were caught and what punishment any of them may or may not face.
I was over the running joke about poor people and rich people by the end of this third book. It didn’t bother me so much in the first two, maybe it wasn’t joked about as much but the third book was overly full of it.
Again I gave it 3.8 stars because I think the mystery was fun and really held it together for me. The writing was decent without a ton of errors I find in some kindle books.

I love all of C.M.'s books, but I have to say I think these guys are my favorites. I really love Charlotte/ Chuck. She was the most relatable FMC. I loved how quirky she was. As Chuck her glasses were always dirty, and her hair a mess, and her blurty-ness, her condom-face,ass pig. She was just a normal girl, and the boys loved her quirks. The boys were great, but I gotta say, Spencer, where can I find him. I absolutely loved that he just went with what he felt for Chuck. Not caring that she was a "guy". I loved all of their interactions when she was Chuck. Also, I just love a guy with silver or white blond hair( like Bonhes). This was a re-read for me, it's like a comfort book for me. Such a great series.

CM Stunich is an amazing author and this is a true statement, every fan of hers knows her creativity is amazing and her writing is fluent and diverse.

This series is so different than others of hers that it’s shocking the author is the same. When you analyse The Havoc Boys, for example, with their raw, crude and so real that hurts reality, you would not expect the same mind creating a series Like Adamson All Boys Academy and its lovely, cuteness overloading. It’s adorable, actually.

This series is full of suspense, murderer investigation and cliffhangers, but is fully loaded with love, affection and cuteness. It’s much less focused on the Bullying subject and more on the Investigative Plot.

I totally recommend to everyone as an interesting RH book, but don’t expect the plot to be focused on the steam or on the sexy scenes, because it’s much more that that. The love, the affection and the sensuality happen naturally and in the middle of the main investigative plot.
