About the Authors

John Forman is the author of the well-respected CoachingVB blog. His coaching experience includes Juniors, college, and university in the US and U.K., plus professional coaching in Sweden.

Mark Lebedew is currently the Australian Men's National Team Coach and coaches professionally in Poland. He previously coached five seasons in Germany where his teams won three straight league championships and a CEV Champions League bronze medal.

John Forman

John Forman's 20+ year volleyball coaching career spans roles in NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, junior college (JUCO), and international university systems. Starting his journey at the high school level, John also contributed significantly to juniors club volleyball as both a coach and administrator.John's international experience includes coaching at the university level in the UK and leading a professional team in Sweden. Alongside his US coaching, these diverse roles have provided him with a unique global perspective on volleyball and recruiting. He has guided numerous athletes and their families through the complexities of the college recruiting process. A recognized thought leader, John has participated in recruiting panels, delivered presentations, and offered one-on-one guidance to aspiring college athletes. His passion for mentoring and his deep understanding of the recruiting landscape are reflected in his book, The College Volleyball Recruiting Playbook - Strategies for Success.
