Nordic & Finn: A Classic Western Series Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 930 ratings

FAST AND VIOLENT WESTERN JUSTICE.

Anders Nordic is a towering, Scandinavian-American hailing from the rugged expanses of Dakota Territory. Known for his solitary nature and unparalleled fighting and shooting skills, Nordic has always struggled to get along with others. As an adult, his preference for solitude has only intensified, leading him to a remote line shack where he lives in blissful isolation.

His uncompromising nature draws him into trouble when he ventures into the bustling, violent town of Cimarron in New Mexico Territory for supplies. When he intervenes to save a homeless collie dog, Finn, from a cruel boy—who happens to be the town banker’s son—the act of kindness triggers a deadly chain of events.

As the town deputy tries to have Nordic arrested, the attempt goes awry. A second, more forceful attempt results in a fatal showdown, with Nordic’s .44 ending the deputy’s life. This sets off a bloody conflict between Nordic and Finn against the forces of Reginald English and the father of the dead deputy.

But despite the escalating violence, Nordic never regrets saving Finn from heartless cruelty. With Finn by his side, he faces the oncoming hordes with steely resolve.
Let them come, he thinks. Anders Nordic is ready for them all.

Dive into this Western adventure and discover if one man’s courage can withstand the relentless forces against him. Don't miss out—experience the thrill and the heartache of Nordic & Finn today!

A great mix of fast-paced Western action, romance, and a heartwarming bond between a man and his dog

A great mix of fast-paced Western action, romance, and a heartwarming bond between a man and his dog
As a fan of classic style Western novels and dogs, I immediately loved NORDIC & FINN. It’s the first novel in a new series by Peter Brandvold, a bestselling, award-winning author of Western novels who’s a regular writer for the popular Wolfpack Publishing imprint. I’ve enjoyed a number of Brandvold’s other books. But I especially enjoyed NORDIC & FINN. The central character is Anders Nordic, a loner who works for a female rancher. Nordic likes animals, but few people. He’s skilled with a gun and uses it without hesitation if threatened. When he sees a homeless collie dog being cruelly abused by some kids during a trip into town, he scares them away and, when confronted by a bigshot banker who’s the father of one of the kids, he punches the banker in the nose. Then he leaves town with the dog, who he names Finn. This leads to a bloody chain of events in which Nordic and Finn are forced to fight local lawmen and then a series of hired guns. They threaten not only him and Finn, but also the woman he works for and her beautiful young niece, Clara. During the course of the story, there’s lots of old-fashioned action and gunplay and a sweet romance between Nordic and Clara. But the real heart of the story is the bond between Nordic and Finn, who turns out to be a fearsome fighter himself. If you follow Brandvold on Facebook, as I do, you can’t help but notice how that bond seems to mirror Brandvold’s close relationship with his dog, Bud. As a fellow dog lover, that and Brandvold’s story about the relationship between Nordic and Finn, have made me an even bigger fan of his work. I’m eagerly looking forward to the next novel in this series.

Well Louis L Amour he is not. Does not begin to compare. My favorite western author s are Louis L Amour and Brad Dennison. I had high hopes for this author but the dog was the best part. Just not my cup of tea.
