- Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2020Even though this is a different “series” the main character is Chloe Manning from the Triple J series. I enjoyed learning more about Chloe since she was introduced as Elizabeth’s twin in another series.
Chloe is a strong and very independent woman. She moved 4 hours away from her very close-knit family and after having her heart broken has sworn off of getting involved with men.
Brandon is one of those guys who is torn between falling in love and putting his family above his needs. He cannot see how things could be compromised and work out for the best. He has broken Chloe’s heart but is still in love with her.
This story was a fun to read and there are plenty of hints for other stories that could come from this one.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2023This is an awesome and interesting book of Brandon and Chloe's story. Loved it. It was well written and it flowed well together, too. It was also a page turned.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2021I liked this story very much, though I wanted to really meet Brandon and tell him that he could have both Chloe and his mother together! Chloe was a pretty patient lady ven after Brandon had dumped her twice though she swore to herself she was finished with him . They both loved each other though and it finally worked out, they wound up married and started a big family.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2021I loved the story and all the events of Christmas portrayed in this book. Brandon has a great deal of trouble recognizing that he is in love. Chloe is sincere in her forgiveness but how many times can one suffer disappointment before giving up? All is well that ends well and I look forward to the story of Lotte and Cove.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 18, 2021I liked this story, but I didn't love it like I'd hoped I would. I loved the small town vibe of the story, and most of the characters-both main and secondary. But... There were so many needless descriptions that IMO- added nothing at all to the story. And a real lack of communication between the main characters, that started to grow thin, for me.
Over all; It was just an okay read for me. It wasn't bad, but it could use a few tweaks here and there.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2021Enjoyed the story plot and following the couples trough the ups and downs of the trials and the difficult choices we sometimes have to make
- Reviewed in the United States on November 6, 2020I loved this story. I especially liked the couple who played Santa and Mrs Claus every year. The people loved their holiday gatherings and came together to help the people in need. If you the holidays and and clean wholesome books then this is for you. I couldn't put it down it was so good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely storyline
Loved the way this story went. Not too mushy with nice strong characters.

2.0 out of 5 stars Could not get in to it
Probably not fair to review a book I barely made by 20% but it just made for bland reading. Sorry. It skimmed over the importance of the details of the start of their relationship but would bore you over the heroines breakfast and coffee preferences. It also jumped from character to character and their inner monologues when usually it is only the main characters whose thoughts are detailed. If it became more interesting I failed to last to see it.
