When a person becomes emotionally dependent on pornography to the extent that it affects their capacity to function normally, they are said to have a porn addiction.
There may be a high prevalence of this kind of addiction. Some medical professionals classify a condition known as hypersexual dysfunction, which encompasses behaviors like excessive masturbation, as porn addiction.

Signs of addiction to pornography
