About this ebook

FROM BESTSELLING AUTHOR AMELIA KINGSTON

Book four in the So Far, So Good series

An endearingly irreverent love story.

To Jackie Ryan, insults are foreplay and love is war. What the feisty redhead lacks in stature, she makes up in attitude. She's made more than one grown man cry and she's damn proud of it. Little does the rowdy barista know she's about to meet her match in the shape of a walking, talking pair of starched khakis.

When unassuming Eddie Jaworski stumbles into a quirky coffee shop, he isn't expecting a battle of wits with the maniac behind the counter. Still, he can't help be intrigued by the endearingly irreverent human enigma. She's brash, but considerate. Closed off to most, but fiercely loyal to a few. Everything is a joke, except those things that are sacred. Jackie doesn't trust easily and if he wants to get close, he's going to have to work for every inch. Good thing he's up for the challenge.

But Eddie has a secret—one he didn't mean to keep—that's going to tug at the delicate strings weaving the pair together. When everything begins to unravel, Jackie must decide just what she's willing to risk for love.

Great Story . . . Jackie Ryan is a barista who projects attitude. She had dreams once of starting a graphic design business two years previously, but she pushed those dreams aside, fearing the rejection of the ‘heart and soul’ she poured into her creations. She instead chose the safe path of helping her grandfather at the coffee shop, reading sci-fi books, and playing online games with her best friend. Just the previous night, Elizabeth reminded her the deadline for sending in her cover design to her favorite author is just about over. This is the author’s last book of this series and the contest would be a real honor if she wins. Yet each year when the next contest opened, she finds a way to procrastinate and not risk rejection by her favorite author. Once again, she has dreams and talent, but she prevents herself from reaching out to claim them. Eddie Jaworski seems like the quiet type as he entered the coffee shop one day. Yet when Jackie hurls her snark and sarcasm at him, he fires back at her with his own witty banter to take her by surprise. They intrigue each other. The best thing about Eddie is that he will never give up on her. He sees something special and won’t let her push him away. When he finally gets her to lower her defenses and let him in, a secret he has been keeping will turn everything around. Are they finished before they really have a chance to explore their relationship? This was a really good story line that holds the reader’s attention. The dialog between the two characters is fun and witty, although Jackie’s poison tongue strikes out a bit too often. Grab your copy and see if Eddie can find an impressive way to win back Jackie’s love. Or whether he will have to walk away in defeat.

This is the fourth book in this fascinating series, and this is Eddie and Jackie’s story. Jackie is brash, fiercely loyal, and feisty barista, and when Eddie unwittingly walks into the coffee shop, he was not prepared for the barbs thrown at him from being the counter, but he soon starts throwing them back at her. Jackie has met her match with Eddie, and he works hard to convince her to lower her barriers. This is a well written fun read, which has secrets, challenges, witty and snarky banter, h

About the author

Amelia Kingston is many things, the most interesting of which are probably California girl, writer, traveler, and dog mom. She survives on chocolate, coffee, wine, and sarcasm. Not necessarily in that order. She's been blessed with a patient husband who's embraced her nomad ways and traveled with her to over 30 countries across 5 continents (I'm coming for you next, Antarctica!). She's also been cursed with an impatient (although admittedly adorable) terrier who pouts when her dinner is 5 minutes late. She writes about strong, stubborn, flawed women and the men who can't help but love them.
