    Introduction

Being a single woman of faith is a journey that can sometimes be daunting.  In a world where everything around us is void of any moral obligation, it can be challenging to weather the pitfalls of dating. Christian women are accountable to God to live according to His word- the Holy Bible.

During my journey of being a single Christian for many years, God has shown me the depths of His love as I continued to draw closer to Him. He has revealed and imparted so much encouragement and wisdom to me by the power of His Holy Spirit, that I was compelled to share with you.

Whether you are a woman that desires to be married or a woman that wishes to remain single, a divorced woman or one that has never been married, a woman that is widowed or one that is afraid to love again, this book is for you.

God has richly supplied to us everything we need to walk through this journey called life. He has given us the sacrifice of His son Jesus Christ to enable us to even be able to approach Him in prayer and have the most beautiful and fulfilling relationship one could ever experience.

A relationship with the Heavenly Father is one that we can have once we accept and welcome Jesus Christ into our hearts through salvation. What an awesome privilege!

The Bible teaches that Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. When you study God’s word, and spend time in prayer communing with Him daily, you are nurturing your spirit which enables you to establish and maintain that strong connection to the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth.

Water is an essential element to growth, nourishment, and survival; it has the ability to cleanse, heal, purify, refresh, strengthen, and restore every part of your being.

Without the one and only true and living God in your life, you will walk around spiritually dehydrated thirsting for something that only God can give.

I will take you on a profound journey of God’s love, joy, compassion, mercy, grace, forgiveness, and comfort. Each month will begin with a powerful prayer followed by a daily dose of keen inspiration.

The month begins with a devotional followed by Biblical References for you to meditate on and apply to your life. There is a Selah- (Hebrew word meaning to pause or ponder) at the end of each chapter with an insightful point of reflection, followed by a prayer. Each day begins with an inspirational message, with blank space beneath to write your thoughts for the day.

I invite you to come along this journey and quench your spirit as you are Watered by the Vine.

    Bible Reflection:

I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." John 15:1-5 (NKJV)

    The Covering

A covering is something that provides warmth and serves as protection or shelter. God wants to be our covering in every way.  Married women have the additional covering of their husbands and although single women do not have the covering of a husband, they do have the covering of their Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ.

God loves you so much that He gave you armor to put on in order for you to be fully equipped and ready for whatever you will face in life. Being covered in God’s spiritual armor will give you the assurance that He is always with you, holding your hand, carrying you, and dwelling in you.

God gave us all the gift of His son, Jesus to die for us, so that we can walk in His righteousness.

Through the acceptance of Jesus Christ dying on our behalf, not only are we protected but our sins are cleansed, forgiven, and covered by His blood.

When you are covered you are loved, when you are loved you are protected, when you are protected you are safe, when you are safe you are secure, and when you are secure you can be confident that God will never fail you. During your journey of singlehood and beyond, rest in knowing that you are covered by the Almighty God.

    Bible Reflection

... The head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.  1st Corinthians 11:3 (NLT)

Be Strong, courageous, and firm, fear not nor be in terror before them, for it is the Lord your God Who goes with you; He will not fail you or forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6 (AMP)

This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers.  He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Psalm 91:2-4 (NLT)

But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:13 (NLT)

Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News
