Shawn can’t decide whether he wants to punch or kiss Trent. Will kissing win?

The party never ends in Las Vegas, but neither does the danger. Shawn is the new foot patrol officer on the Strip and he’s ready to take on the town and keep the peace. Once he spots hunky firefighter Trent, Shawn wonders whether he can take
him on too.

Trent is dedicated to his job, built tough and a no-nonsense man of few words. When Trent eyes a handsome new officer, he doesn’t dare get too close. After his boyfriend’s life was snatched away in the line of fire, he couldn’t bear the agony of such a loss again. Yet how can he keep his hands to himself when it comes to such a sweet and sexy cop?

Once they spend time together away from the stresses of their jobs, they find they’re not only compatible—they’re combustible. However, right as their relationship deepens, the threat of terror escalates on the Strip. The underground vigilante group, the Citizens Against Immorality, have raised the stakes.

Will Shawn and Trent be their next targets?

All Fired Up is the first book in the Sin City Uniforms series by author Morticia Knight. This story really is a great introduction to this series I loved the chemistry between the characters and the overall story itself.

Shawn caring, kind, and new to foot patrolling the strip. He is a character with a huge heart.

Trent: don’t tell anyone but he has a big heart too. Firefighter. Dedicated to his job. A nonsense kinda guy. He has lost a man he loved before on the job and doesn’t want that to happen again.

I love that despite these two men being sweet and sexy, they have strong wills, and are really smart. I cannot wait for more from this series, this is a great start and I want more.

    five shooting stars

This is the first book in a new series about Las Vegas first responders. Shawn is a foot patrolman, newly arrived from Loa Angeles Gang Task Force, glad to be away from the gang activity and in a new town. Trent has been a Vegas firefighter for several years. The two originally encounter each other at a county blood drive, and an immediate interest is kindled on both sides. Trent is leery because he lost his partner in the line of duty two years ago, but he can’t resist when the opportunity to spend time together presents itself and the attraction is immediate and intense. Trent is very protective of Shawn and this causes some problems in the relationship. When an underground vigilante group called the Citizens Against Immorality starts targeting property and citizens with terrorist attacks, both agencies are on high alert and first responders become a target.
The characters of Shawn are Trent are engaging and well developed, there is action both on the streets and in the bedroom, and our heroes face and surmount their biggest challenges to reach their HEA. I would rate it 4.5 stars.

Shawn is a police officer new to Las Vegas. He’s looking for a new start. He meets Trent, a firefighter, who saves him more then once. Trent has some trauma buttons that Shawn seems to push.
This was just ok for me. The steamy parts were definitely hot. Story line was interesting but a little over the top.

    MM-third person narrative.

Something of a tried but true tale.. with a refreshing theme.. the unwittingly bate of the higher-ups in the use of underlings was not expected... the twist.. but it works to find the mole.. maybe a little more detailed sex scenes to entertain the dog in all of us (set our tails wagging) as a leg up to our dirty minds.

Over all: a very good read..

I love first responder books. Especially when they cross companies like Shaun and Trent did. To see a police officer fall in love with a firefighter and vice versa is beautiful.

Shawn is a patrol officer on the Vegas strip, his fellow officer is Vicki. Shawn recently moved from LA where he was a drug task force officer, but he loves his new job. Everyday is different, and there is always something happening. Lately there has been a group of fanatics starting fires and causing havoc. Trent works for the fire department and has rescued Shawn a couple of times, whether he needed it or not. Trent is very stoic and overprotective. This story is about a radical group and how the different departments work together to end their reign of terror. It is intense, full of drama and ends happily.

Shawn is new to Vegas and is a cop. Trent is a firefighter and their paths have crossed a few times and sparks fly.
Trent loss his last partner and struggles with Shawn putting himself in danger. Emotions are high and feelings get hurt before these two pull it together.
Some angst, arsonist to deal with, coming to terms with falling in love.

Suspenseful and tragic, this book deals with a love lost, and homophobia. Trent and Shawn have to overcome devastating loss, and career drama while solving multiple arson attacks and a homicide. Their chemistry is out of control in the best way. Trent is so filthy! For such a quiet character, that mouth cracks me up. I love it!.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great police/fire fighter story
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 20, 2023
This was a nice steamy story with a bit of mystery mixed in of a policeman’s relatively new to working in Vegas and an established fire fighter, both in their 30’s. Trent wasn’t one to talk much and was still suffering years later after his partner who was a policeman was killed in the line of duty. Shawn was attracted to Trent as soon as he saw him at a blood drive but was used to keeping his feelings to himself as being gay on his hometown wasn’t viewed positively and he is family were bigots. Now in Vegas he still kept mostly to himself apart from his close colleagues.

At first they are both stubborn but after a few close calls in the line of duty, Trent can’t deny his feelings and attraction to Shawn and asks him on a date. When Trent wasn’t stuck all in his head, he was so adorable and loving/possessive of Shawn. Trent still suffers from ptsd from his partners death which makes him very bossy and always telling Shawn off when he is only doing his job as a cop even if it means putting himself in danger from time to time. After an intense scene Trent loses it and says things to Shawn he doesn’t mean but what’s done is done. They find their way back again and then miss a close call while trying to catch an arsonist in the area.

It was enjoyable to watch these good men open themselves to new things, letting love in and finding happiness together.

    The book felt very stilted.
Reading was a bit disconnected, storyline was a bit predictable.
