When It's More Than a Fart - Matt Weik
Introduction: It’s All Fun and Games Until...
You ever have one of those moments where everything seems fine—calm, smooth, perfectly under control—until suddenly, it isn’t? Like when you let out what you think is an innocent little toot,
only to realize with horror that you’ve miscalculated the situation entirely?
Yeah. Life is a lot like that.
Welcome to When It’s More Than a Fart, the book you didn’t know you needed but now can’t live without. Think of this as your survival guide to life’s unexpected disasters—the moments that make you question every decision that led you there.
Whether it’s a professional blunder, a social faceplant, or an actual, well... accident, we’ve all been there. And if you say you haven’t, you’re either lying or dangerously overdue for one.
Life is a Lot Like a Fart...
Sometimes, things go exactly as planned—clean, efficient, no one even notices. Other times, your confidence betrays you, and suddenly, you’re left scrambling for a solution (or a change of pants).
The truth is, we all have those moments where our pride gets ahead of our reality. You think you’ve got everything under control, and BAM—life reminds you who’s boss.
Maybe it’s oversharing on a first date, hitting Reply All
when you absolutely shouldn’t have, or taking a risk that instantly backfires. Whatever the case, embarrassment, failure, and unexpected disasters are part of the human experience.
You can either let them ruin your day, or you can laugh, learn, and waddle your way forward.
How to Survive When Things Go Horribly, Hilariously Wrong
This book isn’t about preventing life’s messes—because, let’s be real, that’s impossible. It’s about surviving them with humor, resilience, and just the right amount of shamelessness. You’ll learn:
The Art of Damage Control: How to own your mistakes before they own you.
The Science of Playing It Cool (Even When You’re Dying Inside): Pro-level techniques for acting like that was totally on purpose.
How to Embrace the Chaos: Because sometimes, all you can do is laugh and hope no one has their phone out recording.
By the end of this book, you won’t just handle life’s awkward disasters better—you’ll thrive in them. You’ll become the person who can laugh off a wardrobe malfunction, recover from a work blunder, and confidently stride forward after making a complete fool of yourself.
And yes, some of the scenarios in this book are my own life’s messiest situations. Feel free to laugh along as we chuckle at my own expense (it just shows I’m human, too, and make mistakes).
So, take a deep breath (maybe a cautious one), and let’s dive in. Just remember: It’s all fun and games until... well, you know.
