A Time to Heal: Heart of a Wounded Hero Kindle Edition

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 127 ratings

After living through the horrors of war, Colin Stewart arrived home. Outwardly only a few scars, but shattered inside.
Retreating to the mountain where he grew up provided a place to face his demons away from the prying eyes of those who didn’t understand his suffering.
Eight years hadn’t diminished the visions or flashbacks, but he had learned to cope until the day he walked into her house to do some repairs.
Could this new woman from the city be the key to a more regular life for Colin?

Olivia Harrison found her dream practice. But the job of physician for the remote mountain area of West Gap Pass didn’t come without challenges. Namely, the fact she knew nothing about rural living.
But when the handsome handyman notices her pleas for help, will she notice his silent ones?
Colin may very well end up being Olivia’s biggest challenge yet.

I know I keep saying the same thing over and over for this series, I'm just so in love, obsessed and addicted to it. I really can't put them down from start to finish.

These are fantastic, inspiring, sweet and sexy, instalove short stories written by various different authors. They tug (no rip) at your heart strings and set off almost every emotion possible, laughter, tears, horror, rage, sadness, happiness and love. Did I mention I'm addicted to this series? Like seriously I can't read them fast enough!!!

They have great characters that are realistically flawed, emotionally broken, physically damaged and have some demons but they are beautiful, determined, dedicated, fun, strong, committed, loyal, loving and by various means find that special someone or go back to the one, who makes them feel alive and whole again, then they start healing and are rewarded with their Happily Ever Afters!!

I highly recommend this series. I haven't been disappointed yet and it's for a great cause. Our US soldiers who fight for our freedom. I can't wait to start the next book!! Happy Reading!!!! Loved this short read! Only knocked off a star because one chapter was mislabeled and the format was little different for me with the broken paragraphs. Storyline was beautiful!

Well written story and well developed characters! Is it possible to deal with PTSD by yourself? Or is it better to have someone to talk to? Colin has lived on the mountain with PTSD for years! What happens when a new doctor arrives?

Okay I am not going to lie, when I first start reading this book I almost stopped. It went from zero to 100 and I think it was still in the first two chapters. I am glad I didn’t stop reading it. To see how Liv and Colin despite the age difference matched was exciting. To know he went 8yrs suffering with his PTSD by himself made me cry. This was a good read.

Wow, what a great story! I loved this one about a hero struggling with PTSD and the one woman who could love him enough to see past it. It was an emotional journey but I loved it!

I am a voracious reader, but have never written a review until now. I am currently reading in order the Heart of a Wounded Hero series, and this one, by far, is my favorite. It really affected me, such a beautiful love story. So simple, yet so profound.
