Aside from the mysteries relevant to the book I have learned the outcome between Sloane and Giovanni along with the nature of the "family business" and dynamics. The original murders in relationship to the current ones were surprising as to the novel's climax. I appreciated the way in which Carlo achieved greater respect for Sloane as the story line progressed. Detective Cade came as a bit of surprise, but he provided this reader relief as he determined to stick with Sloane during several rough moments leading to the end.

As usual Cheryl Bradshaw has written a well-executed story with characters that we love and a plot with so many twists and turns that we never see the solution coming. If you haven't read any of the books in this series, you are missing a character hat we have grown to love as if she were family. Plus each book is a wild exciting ride that you won't forget. Highly recommend this book.

The title would hv kept me from reading. Instead l started reading, thinking ll the first few chapters were in no way connected & how could any good writer ever bring such disjointed writings to mesh together to form a book. I came in on a Sunday about 12:45; 6 hours later l was finished.
