Death Sentence Kindle Edition
He just might take being a bad boy a little too far.
Eloise Mason keeps everything arranged to her exacting standards. A stable job, a non-existent dating life, and a perfectly maintained home in just the right neighborhood. Nothing unexpected ever happens and that’s how she likes it.
Ethan Callaghan moves in next door and destroys her vision. Late-night parties, roaring motorcycle engines, and charming smiles were nowhere on her schedule, and she isn’t in a hurry to forgive him when he causes a scene in front of the neighbors.
In fact she hates him until his persistent interest begins to win her over, but when someone close to her is murdered, it becomes apparent that her softening heart is more of a threat than she realized.
As the stakes rise and the killer closes in, Eloise will have to decide if trusting Ethan will save her life or be a death sentence.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2024Not only is this a well-written book language wise, every single part of it flowed so naturally and perfectly. I felt like I was playing detective throughout, trying to piece together the evidence to figure out what would happen in the end. This is one of the few books I’ve read where I had to fight the urge to skip to the end to see if my theories were right. I truly enjoyed every single second of reading this story and I look forward to other books this author releases in the future.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2024I think this was my first romantic suspense, and I might have to find more of them!
Eloise is a very reserved woman, with a pretty simple life. She works, she avoids talking to her mom, she hangs out with her friends on designated days. Until Ethan moves in next door. He’s covered in tattoos and rides a motorcycle. His friends crush Eloise’s flowers and their music keeps her up late (which is a cardinal sin IMO).
He’s irritating…until he isn’t. When he’s injured and needs help, Eloise agrees to help him. From there, they get closer, a friendship and then more evolving.
When Eloise’s finds her friend murdered outside their workplace, Ethan decides the best choice is to move in to keep her safe. Can Eloise find out what happened before it’s too late?
Death Sentence had me racing in the final 25% because I was pretty sure I knew what happened, but I didn’t know how it went down!

- Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2024I thoroughly enjoyed reading this dark romance. I could relate to the main character Eloise more than I expected, especially her love of classical music. The chemistry between her and the love interest Ethan was electric, and I enjoyed the side characters, everything felt so believable. If you are looking for a darker romance with a mystery, I recommend giving this book a try!
