The Art Of Virtual Networking - Build Long Lasting Connections And Grow Your Business Or Career - Kenneth Rose
Introduction
When you work in an office, the concept of networking can be straightforward. You may spend time in meetings, going to the break room, or even taking a ride in the elevator and meet other professionals who will assist you in reaching some of your goals. You may have to put in a little extra effort to attend conferences and other events in order to make the connections that will help you grow your network, but you can still get the job done.
When you work from home, things become a little more difficult. To finally get ahead and achieve success, you must form some of these important connections, to meet others, and work hard. Networking outside of the office can be difficult, but it may be one of the best methods to grow your business and meet new people.
This is possible with virtual networking, whether you are in the office or working from home. You will be able to form connections with others through virtual networking by utilizing online platforms, social media, and even online webinars and conferences, even if you are unable to meet them in person. Virtual networking provides individuals who work remotely with the opportunity to network that they may not have had previously.
You can do virtual networking in a variety of ways, and the one you choose will depend on your personal preferences and what works best for you. You will be required to participate in virtual events. You can make your own or attend one sponsored by another organization. Learn something new and meet others who wants to expand their network.
Your current colleagues are a great way to start. If you are new to working remotely, you have the advantage of already knowing many of your colleagues. Building those relationships and keeping those with present colleagues will help you network more effectively. If you quit your current job to work remotely, make sure to keep in touch with some of your previous colleagues. This will allow you to keep those connections for opportunities if necessary.
There are numerous advantages to virtual networking, but it all boils down to the relationships that you will be able to
