About this ebook

Rescuing Whiskey's Salvation is a humorous sweet romance tied up in a nontraditional western cozy. Cosmetic heiress, Evie Mae Stockton, decides to open her "dead" uncles shelter in Whiskey, Texas because she's tired of the glitz and glamour. Her heart pulls her away from everything she's known, which causes her stubborness to kick in. Wanting to help all people out, she must organize the shelter's grand opening, which means dealing with the finances and repairs on a shelter that's been somewhat neglected for the past seven years. The Whiskey townsfolk are thrilled with the news and offer their assistance... assistance Evie feels is not needed. After all, she's the one to do the sheltering, not vice versa. But Whiskey's favorite local cowboy and land developer, Griff Bryant, has other ideas for it. And so does Whiskey's mayor. As Evie and Griff get closer, the shelter's invaded by a troupe of clowns. Clowns that Evie just so happens to be deathly scared of. But these clowns aren't just any troupe of clowns, but one in particular just so happened to save Griff's life long ago. Lucky for the clowns, Evie's stubborness to keep her promise to her uncle kicks in, so instead of shooing them away, she welcomes them into her shelter. But the clowns daily presence in full costume and their antics way on her thoughts and never seem to let her fear fade away causing her to second guess the decision of letting them stay, almost to the brink of turning them out, but the mayor unwittingly distracts Evie from the clowns when he plans a takeover of the shelter via eminent domain. As a member of the mayor's revitalization committee, Griff must decide now who needs the shelter more. Whiskey's mayor? Evie and the townsfolk? Or possibly the Barleyshot Distillery? Knowing the cowboy could destroy her future, will Evie be able to save the shelter herself or will her stubborness hog tie her ability to accept help and make the right decision? Will her blossoming love with Griff survive RESCUING WHISKEY'S SALVATION?

About the author

Chrissy Hartmann loves to write romance and unexpected humor with a little bit of mystery thrown in. She's a Buckeye found in northeast Ohio. She's a patriot, dog lover, cat snuggler, goose dresser, Star Wars fan, romantic, coffee addict, soon to be Eagle Scout mom, vinyl spinner with her hubby, protector, defender, T1D warrior, and one who never misses the chance to write. And write she does... Novels, award-winning short stories, a few poems, and yes even a blog, the Prickle Forrest Chronicles. Even though she writes a lot, her hubby does manage to get her out to dance the night away listening to cover bands and drinking wine. Her son and she can be found in the backyard chasing their ornery kitten and her loveable dog guide all while talking about Star Wars. She loves her Ohio teams, Buckeyes, Browns, and yes the Tribe too. Pumpkin anything will cheer her up, but if you've ticked her off, don't be surprised if you recognize one of her antagonists having some familiar qualities about them that you see in yourself. Her favorite authors are Marilyn Todd, Jill Shalvis, Eloisa James, Susan Mallery, Sabrina Jeffries, Bob Adamov, and yes, believe it or not, Ernest Hemmingway. Some day she hopes to retire to a home near the water, preferably on Lake Erie. She's not a fan of hot-hot weather so would rather watch the sunset while typing on her laptop looking out from South Bass Island. But that whole idea might take a few best sellers to get her their. But she says if it doesn't happen in real life, she'll write it into a story. After all, writers do research on their settings, so living on the lake for research would count, wouldn't it? She says maybe researching lakefront living would take a long time. And yes, she's smiling with those words. A big-big smile.

Angelica is a author whose first love is graphic design, which brought her to designing book covers. She primarily designs book covers for romance and fantasy, but she can probably do anything if you give her time. She can be found on social media under her business name Purpose on Paper-Book Covers.

Wayne Novelist Guild started in the 2010s. It is a group of writers from northeastern Ohio who are committed to their goal of publishing the novels they are working on. The group consists of six women and three men whose genres range all over the spectrum from Christian, romance, historical, young adult, mystery, paranormal, sci-fi, and not to mention a combination of these. It is a well-diverse educated group who writes and critiques each other's work in order to get the books out for publication whether it be independent or traditionally publishing. There are two published authors out of the nine, but the other seven are very close in getting their novels published. Numerous members have won writing contests for their short stories and memoirs.
