Chrissy Hartmann loves to write romance and unexpected humor with a little bit of mystery thrown in. She's a Buckeye found in northeast Ohio. She's a patriot, dog lover, cat snuggler, goose dresser, Star Wars fan, romantic, coffee addict, soon to be Eagle Scout mom, vinyl spinner with her hubby, protector, defender, T1D warrior, and one who never misses the chance to write. And write she does... Novels, award-winning short stories, a few poems, and yes even a blog, the Prickle Forrest Chronicles. Even though she writes a lot, her hubby does manage to get her out to dance the night away listening to cover bands and drinking wine. Her son and she can be found in the backyard chasing their ornery kitten and her loveable dog guide all while talking about Star Wars. She loves her Ohio teams, Buckeyes, Browns, and yes the Tribe too. Pumpkin anything will cheer her up, but if you've ticked her off, don't be surprised if you recognize one of her antagonists having some familiar qualities about them that you see in yourself. Her favorite authors are Marilyn Todd, Jill Shalvis, Eloisa James, Susan Mallery, Sabrina Jeffries, Bob Adamov, and yes, believe it or not, Ernest Hemmingway. Some day she hopes to retire to a home near the water, preferably on Lake Erie. She's not a fan of hot-hot weather so would rather watch the sunset while typing on her laptop looking out from South Bass Island. But that whole idea might take a few best sellers to get her their. But she says if it doesn't happen in real life, she'll write it into a story. After all, writers do research on their settings, so living on the lake for research would count, wouldn't it? She says maybe researching lakefront living would take a long time. And yes, she's smiling with those words. A big-big smile.
Angelica is a author whose first love is graphic design, which brought her to designing book covers. Wayne Novelist Guild started in the 2010s. It is a group of writers from northeastern Ohio who are committed to their goal of publishing the novels they are working on. The group consists of six women and three men whose genres range all over the spectrum from Christian, romance, historical, young adult, mystery, paranormal, sci-fi, and not to mention a combination of these. It is a well-diverse educated group who writes and critiques each other's work in order to get the books out for publication whether it be independent or traditionally publishing. There are two published authors out of the nine, but the other seven are very close in getting their novels published. Numerous members have won writing contests for their short stories and memoirs.
