We learn in Luke 23:27-31 that many people followed along with Jesus. A small group of women were wailing and lamenting for Jesus. Our Lord told the women they should redirect their feelings of angst from Him to the future of Jerusalem. The current year was approximately 30 AD. We know that the Romans destroyed the Jerusalem temple in 70 AD.
