About this ebook
Isabella has everything to live for; a nice job that she enjoys and a boyfriend in the Army who has promised to marry and take care of her. But when she goes to investigate the sounds of a crying child one night after work, it is against her better judgement and against everything that she had ever been taught. And for good reason.
Kidnapped and trafficked by a ruthless gang, she is bound and kept naked alongside three other women, waiting her turn to be sold like a piece of merchandise to a wealthy Mexican cartel owner.
She knows that any attempt to escape will likely result in her death and as she tries to make sense of her situation and make a connection with one of her kidnappers, to try to let him see the human being behind the commodity, she is suddenly confronted by the shocking reality of her situation and how he came to be in it.
Now, with only her own salvation at the forefront of her mind, Isabella is prepared to do whatever it takes to be free once more and to exact the revenge that is burning fiercely inside her.

Trafficked - Hera Anderson
Chapter One
The chill of the night was uncommon for the month of August, and it bit at Isabella’s nose as she walked through the empty parking lot towards her car. She pulled at the short sleeves of her work shirt, shivering as the cold air wrapped itself around her thin frame and held her tight. It was another evening that she had been the last one to leave work. This was not uncommon, which is why her boyfriend Adam had insisted that she bring pepper spray with her whenever she worked nights.
Isabella had decided to work at the town’s dog boarding facility soon after graduating high school. It was a simple job, one that she enjoyed and was paid decently enough for her time and effort. She had, in the two years since she began working there, received several promotions, and she was now proud to be the manager of the facility. It was a corporate boarding and daycare facility, and so she was in charge of ensuring that the standards were met. And this often meant late nights in the office, all alone, with only the boarded dogs to keep her company.
The facility was on a road that was far from everything else in the small, somewhat rural town. There were train tracks behind the building, but other than that, and the connection to the main road, it was rather isolated. Normally, Isabella enjoyed this. She liked being alone, especially in the morning when she opened the center. It was a time of peace when she could think and enjoy herself.
Isabella’s phone vibrated in the pocket of her worn, ripped jeans. She always wore her oldest pairs whenever she worked. Stopping in her tracks, she pulled it form her pocket and smiled as she saw her boyfriend’s name on the screen. He had joined the Army a year ago, and ever since, they had been long distance. It had been trying. There were trust issues, and it was difficult for her to be without him, especially when he was off traveling the world. But he had also promised her that, come October, he would be back with a ring for her. And then she would be able to travel alongside him.
Marriage was something that Isabella had never really cared about. Even when she and Adam had met, it hadn’t really crossed her mind that she might want to stay with him for the rest of her life. It wasn’t until he had joined the military that she realized how much she wanted to be with him. And so, when he breached the topic of getting married, she had agreed. They were young, sure, but she was also certain that he was the one she wanted to be with.
Hi baby, I hope that you’re having a nice day. I have to go back to the barracks, but I wanted to text you and let you know that I love you. Adam’s text read. Despite the cold, Isabella was warmed by the words on the screen. She unlocked her cell phone and
