Gorgeous Garden Flowers: Short & Snappy Picture Books, #1
By Sarah Innins and Sandra Morton
()
About this ebook
Gorgeous Garden Flowers is the first book in the Short & Snappy Picture Books series designed as conversation-starters, memory-joggers and entertaining picture books for care home residents, dementia patients, invalids and the elderly confined indoors. This eBook is a colourful collection of close-up images showcasing the beauty and intricate detail of 42 popular garden flowers (unobtrusively named on each page) – it will appeal to garden, plant, nature and photography lovers. The pictures are in landscape, rather than portrait, orientation as this provides a fuller, contextual view of the flowers. The photographs were taken by Sandra Morton in her apartment garden in Devon and across the south of England, from Cornwall to Kent.
Gorgeous Garden Flowers is engaging and relaxing to look at, and with only 40-pages and no distracting text sections, is not overwhelming for the reader. It makes an ideal gift as there is no mention of "illness, age or cognitive impairment" on the cover or inside the book. It is also available as a travel-size paperback.
