Billionaire Takes All (A Caldwell Hope Billionaire Romance Book 1) Kindle Edition
The rules: The first son to provide an heir to the King fortune gets all of the five-billion-dollar inheritance. The loser gets nothing.
Richard
I did everything my father asked, including following in his footsteps to become one of the country's most ruthless businessmen. I deserve that inheritance more than my deadbeat, musician brother.
Ridiculous. All I do is win and this test will be no exception.
The record store owner, Gloria, is a sexy, alt-rock firecracker and the opposite of what I need right now, but the more she pushes me away, the more I need to have her.
Lucas
My pompous prick of a brother thinks he can beat me? I'm Mr. Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll. I can knock up any girl I want.
Any girl but the one I really want. The reason I stayed away from my hometown was because my high school sweetheart, Molly, married someone else. And now that I'm back, she's still all I can think about.
Jackson Kane's Billionaire Takes All is a scorcher that features dual POVs of both rival brothers as they screw each other over in their pursuit of thrills, sex, love, and the competition for their five-billion-dollar inheritance. Who will win their father's test? Will it be the high-powered alpha CEO Richard, or the sexy heartthrob rock star Lucas? Only one Billionaire Takes All.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2016Great debut novel by Jackson Kane. The flow kept you engaged page after page. The surprising twists and turns we easy to follow and made it hard to put down! And now a bit about the story...
Lucas and Richard couldn't be more different. Looking back neither is happy they've grown apart, but both blamed the other and had no plans to repair their relationship. Until they got the call from their father's lawyer. Both rushed home to see if they could change the rules. First came the pranks, but once people were getting hurt even that got old. Then there was the new and old love, but plastic Barbie tried to kill both... Will these two ever change? What would you do for $5 Billion???

Premise: Two brothers must compete to win their dying father’s 5 billion+ estate. Whoever marries a local girl and has a kid first wins.
I’ve read a couple like this; it’s not exactly a new story line, but this one was written in such a way that it didn’t come across as an exact copy of the others; it did have its own unique twists.
One brother followed in his father’s footsteps and became a business mogul; the other tossed a metaphorical finger at the family and went off to pursue a career in music, leaving his hometown sweetheart and becoming a bad boy rock star.
Both brothers start off hating each other. I did enjoy the methods each used to waylay the other. It’s not much of a spoiler to say each brother found “the right” woman, then lost her due to the ridiculous contest. Predictable, yet entertaining.
I enjoyed the story. It was well-written enough, though there were a decent number of typos. My biggest problem was that some of the decisions of the characters (past and present) weren’t justified enough to be fully believable. I know, it’s fiction, it’s fantasy, it’s romance, but I don’t like when I’m pulled out of the story to shake my head. And some questions weren’t fully answered, leaving me feeling slightly disappointed.
Overall, I’d recommend this story to anyone who likes billionaire or rock star romance and a happy ending. There’s even a hint of MC in there, too.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 1, 2016I needed something new to read, a different genre, and an unknown author. That is what I got when I found and read this debut book from Jackson Kane. The story pits two estranged brothers against one another in a contest to win an inheritance from their father.
Richard King is the tough as nails, straight as an arrow CEO, who is used to getting his own way. Lucas "Lucky Luke" King is the carefree rockstar. Neither brother can be in each other's presence for too long before the fighting begins. They are called home by their father, who is dying, and are told that the will has been changed. Only one son will get the billions - who ever produces the first grandchild. And there are stipulations - they cannot pay someone and the person must come from their hometown.
Reading this book I felt as if I was getting a two-for-one read. Both brothers set out with only one thing on their minds - beating the other to win the billions. And the lengths these two will go to to undermine the other is quite funny.
The female-love interests, for each of the brothers fits them perfectly. This is a romance, but it was more about rebuilding a family relationship. This was a gentle and fantastic read, especially for a debut author, and I found myself smiling the whole time.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2016The prize is 5 billion dollars.
Only one brother will win.
The rules are simple and crystal clear.
But this is no game.
Will it be the reckless rock star, or the relentless CEO?
Or will the true cost of winning take away the one thing that matters most?
Jackson Kane is a new author, and literally knocks it out of the park with this engaging story of two brothers, their relationship scarred by the pain of loss, bitterness, betrayal and jealousy, who are forced to compete for an inheritance from their dying father. They are brought together to face their shared past, deal with their mistakes, acknowledge their flaws, and, ultimately, to deal with the consequences of trying to outdo the other at any cost.
It's a wild ride to the finish line, and I really enjoyed the trip. The story is thoroughly engaging and entertaining. The brothers couldn't be more different, and the results of their competition are often funny, occasionally deeply painful, but always surprising. The characters are well-developed. You will love and admire their father's desire to bring closure to a broken past, even if his choice of strategy is outrageous. You'll also love the two women who take their competition to its suspenseful end.
This is much more than an erotic romance. Although the lust factor is definitely there, and the sexual scenes are intensely satisfying, it's the story that matters most - and takes center stage. Congratulations, Jackson Kane, on a debut novel that has it all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down
Loved this book, once I started reading I couldn't put it down.
A brilliant first book from an author.
The dual pov from Lucas and Richard was great and I so wanted them both to win. I still don't know which brother is my favourite so I'll just be greedy and have both.
The story was well developed and even with the dual pov it flowed seamlessly. The characters are all well developed and I also felt attached to both of the girls, no favourite between them either, which I'm sure is not an easy thing for an author to manage as you usually identify easier or like one more than another.
I did wonder which brother would win and how the story would end. I was very pleased with the outcome and you will just have to read it as I don't like to give spoilers.
Highly recommend reading Billionaire takes all and I am looking forward to more books from Jackson Kane
Two days I searched for this book after reading the blurb on a Facebook book page. Instead of going right away and buying it my eye caught the next post and long story short, after two days searching I put a call out to friend in Canada and a friend of hers knew the author and book title, so after a quick one click ( learned my lesson on not getting the book right away) I had Billionaire takes all downloaded and ready to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Billionaire Rivalry
What a fantastic read this was, I laughed at the rivalry of brothers Lucas and Richard on hearing from their father, that whoever produced a grandchild first would inherit billions that their father built up to now.The father dies of illness and the brothers realise that it was all to get them to realise that they needed to come together as a family and follow their hearts with their personal life as well. This book blew me away, surprised me and made me respect the author so much. Do yourself a favour and read this book. You will not be disappointed

5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic read!
I knew from the blurb that this would be a great story. The rivalry between the two brothers is heated and nasty at times and the twists and turns kept me intrigued. I loved the duel points of view.
If you love billionaire business men and rock star romance you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended!
